The Magnuszew Bridgehead was established by the soviet 8th Guards Army in august 1944 (near the end of Operation Bagration) on the west side of the Vistula River. German forces started counterattacks but they failed.
The map was started by me a few week ago.
Status: internal beta-test

Cool shiznit, looks promising ;D
-
You already know my opinion about the map. Would love it to see it come with Ostheer. Wait a moment - I'm head mapper, right? The map will surely be included if finished and the level of quality is held by you! :)
Nice bridge on the sixth pic!
-
in the sixth pic your not going to keep those AA guns are you? anyway good bridge and good concept of the map, it looks very unique to most other maps.
-
Looks very good to me. It looks to be a nice asymmetrical map which is needed. This can be an EF version of Pointe du Hoc.
-
Thanks for the response, guys.
The AA guns in the sixth picture aren't in the playable area. I don't know if i keep them... we will see.
edit: a little update
-
ok thats good cause i dont want conscripts manning them all
-
Pretty sure that Conscripts can't man heavy weapons Mat ;)

I think he is aware of that :P
Anyways I think they are for asthetic purposes. Not fighting purposes
-
all russian troops are like conscripts to me :) (im an axis player)
-
then why get EF? need a new enemy? waiting for othseer?
-
Hey Lord van Dalen,
I didn't notice any action markers on your maps' screenshots! So may I remind you of adding them ;).
If you don't know how take a look at that:

Regards,
Walki

Maybe he wanted to add them later, as I always do. But thank you for advertising my tutorial ;D
-
Adding the markers in the end is bad cause you usually lose motivation the farer you get with the map.

Well, I don't ;)
-
Work is done today. ;)
-
looking good! keep up the good work!
-
I just had to ask, is your user name by any chance a reference to Lord Dan Halen?
-
:D Never heard this name before. My name is inspired by this germanic tribe: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vandals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vandals) (in german: Vandalen)
-
Outstanding work! No question, we would really appreciate if we can include the map :D
-
then why get EF? need a new enemy? waiting for othseer?
both reasons. i play with the soviets vs AI cause i suck with them badly :P.
-
ahh well. im pretty bad with them too.

Nice progress!
-
Is it right that I see that you are going to use only fixed positions?
-
Maybe the icons are just to tell you something about the historical context, not neccessarily about fixed positions ;)

You're right.
-

-
Thanks for the praise. Here is the second update today.
-
Brilliant! :D
-
Awesome detailing, love it ;D
-
Another update.
-
You got the time I can tell. Love the work, great job. Looking forward to a play test.
-
Yes i want to play it now!

Yes i want to play it now!
It doesn't look ready for that now :P
-
Playable area is done, so it's time for the first beta. But I have to sleep before I do anything else. :P

Here it is.

Edit:
Copy the SGA file into this folder: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\WW2\Scenarios
Thanks Maxi.
-
Won't work if placed in #\Company of Heroes\Eastern_Front\Archives. You'd have to change the Eastern_Front.module in order to make it work.
You should rather put it here:
C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\WW2\Scenarios
-
ok, thanks.
-
