Personally I'd recommend starting the Tournie over; and getting dates fixed and booked.

Alright guys; thread thoroughly cleaned.
This is NOT the Balance Forum; this is a tournament thread.
Take it elsewhere, or simply don't bother starting the crap in the first place.

Now. Real life; for all those who forget; is the core section of our lives. EF is a hobby; gaming is a good bit of entertainment.
Getting overly angry and bitchy because people find themselves unable to play due to correctly placed priorities is simply childish (as is pages of arguments funnelled directly from your hate of losing - or using masses of smilies Seeme ;)).

On the other hand...tournaments are a nice bit of competitive fun; however, if you do think you might not be able to make it, or something might come up; then either don't sign-up in the first place, or pick a more likely date from the get-go (Friday for example, when you may, or may not be doing something is clearly a stupid choice; we want 100% likeliness of you being available).
This may just be a game, but that doesn't stop the annoyance of being cancelled on last minute in any stretch of life; so simply put, try have a little forethought and some courtesy for others if you plan on joining a small scale tournament.
Simply plan ahead (individually and as a tournament) and this will be less of a problem.

Now. Anyone replying to this post will have their post treated as Off-Topic and deleted; continue to do so, and you will be suspended.

Anything after this i want to see only related to the EF 2v2 Tournament #2.
Play nicely, and we won't have to go round being patronising and deleting posts.

Hello people,

I (SuperSoca) am very happy to announce the creation of an Organized Battle (OB) for Company of Heroes: Eastern Fronts that is being arranged by the CoH Brazilian Comunity.
Company of Heroes: Europe War (EW).

EW will face off two opposing teams of players; the Allies and the Axis; as they set off across European battlefields set on domination and victory.
For this we have a tactical map that represents the locations of the separate sides and their armies as they re-write the battles of WW2 in pre-arranged ingame battles using community and Relic made maps based off each location.

Each team will have 12 players, divided by military rankings (Supreme Commanders will be voted for by the players), distributed into the 5 armies of CoH:EF. Each player will take command of one military historically based division; for example:

- 101th Airborne (US)
- 11. Panzer Division (Wher)
- 10th Guards Uralsko-Lvovskaya Tank Division (USSR)

At the start of the campaign, each player will take possession of a limited number of territories. Then, through the use of our forums the teams will organize themselves; moving, attacking and defending as needed - on the tactical map. If a commander orders one of his divisions to attack a territory already defended by an enemy division, then a battle will be fought in Company of Heroes Eastern Front between these players. Leading to 1v1s, 2v2s and more as Commanders assault barely defended regions or push for large assaults on important sectors.

The division that wins this match will take control of this territory.
Battles will continue back and forth as armies fight their way across Europe, a Europe at war, until finally a team reaches one of their Final Objetives.

Allies:

a) Take control of Berlin.
b) Take control of +85% of the territories before June of 1946.

Axis:

a) Take control of Stalingrad.
b) Take control of +15% of the territories before June 1946 (its considered conditional surrender of Germany, because difficult for Allies to invade -  for EW its considered German victory because its not an unconditional surrender).
c) "Expurge" US and Brits from West Europe.

Players exceptional actions will have rewards. Players can see the EW  history developmente reading an journal with the last news from the front:

The matches replays will be analyzed by the EW organization, and players may be commanded. With medals and other awards available to achieve; such as:

Order of Glory: Medal given to a Soviet division that makes brave use of Armour (IS-2, T34, Su-85, ISU-152, KV-2 and others).

Knigth Cross: Medal given to a German leader that shows bravery in defending Germany, doing deeds above and beyond the call of duty and the average commander.

The Main Features of EW:

- Teamwork; planning, strategy and comunication between players.
- Mix of Real Time Strategy and Turn Based game.
- Medals and promotions: players will be rewarded and these rewards will be on a "Honor Hall" forever on EW.
- Medals, locations, names and Divisions based maximun possible in historical facts.
- Prize: U$15,00 game on steam (we are receiving donations).
- Weeks of FUN!!
Additional Information

PS: The drawback on this first version of EW:

We are acepting ONLY portuguese speaking players, because all forum structure and EW rules are in portuguese, and we can't make it in english, YET. On future versions you can expect opened to other players.

World of Tanks is an awesome game so thought I'd make a thread for people to post their ingame usernames and levels of tanks.
Hopefully get some platooning on the go - plus find people to add.

Also, please vote in the poll whether you'd be interested in an EF Company so that we might put Russia in the right hands ;)

Dragon93 - T-34 (Lvl5), SU-85B (Lvl4), Wespe (Lvl3) - All fully upgraded except radio's and next tanks (plus the 85s for the Soviet tanks).

General Discussion / Re: 1.4 DL via Launcher

I think it will just start downloading again from scratch. Won't cause any problems, will just over-write the half downloaded file (if that file still exists).

General Discussion / Re: CoH Patch 2.602 and EF?
« on: May 24, 2011, 10:57:43 PM »
Do you wait for 1.4 before you update to 2.602?

No need to wait. Without 1.4 EF will have certain issues. But you can install 1.31, 2.602, and then 1.4 without "breaking" your EF install; if that's what you're afraid of.

I'm happily downloading at 3kb/s xD - then i can test what i did 3 hours ago :D

Eastern Front / Re: The red army OOB 1st january 1936

!939 is a start...http://ww2total.com/WW2/History/Orders-of-Battle/Russia/Red-Army-1939.htm

Though considering the purges and continued increases it won't be exactly what it was in 1936.
"Recently declassified data indicate that in 1937, at the height of the Purges, the Red Army had 114,300 officers, of whom 11,034 were dismissed. In 1938, the Red Army had 179,000 officers, 56% more than in 1937, of whom a further 6,742 were sacked. In the highest echelons of the Red Army the Purges removed 3 of 5 marshals, 13 of 15 army generals, 8 of 9 admirals, 50 of 57 army corps generals, 154 out of 186 division generals, 16 of 16 army commissars, and 25 of 28 army corps commissars."

Also...http://www.jstor.org/pss/152382
In 1936 they turned some territorial units to active duty units raising the Red Army to 1.3 million. After this about 3 quarters of units were full time, and 1 quarter were territorial. Also they had about 600,000 draftees a year. So maybe factor that in when looking at the 1939 numbers.

"By 1935 the Red Army had grown to 1,300,000 men. The Soviet Union also had 10,000 tanks and 5,000 front-line planes."
"On the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939 the Red Army had an estimated 1,800,000 men in its ranks, of whom one fourth were stationed in the Far East."

Ostheer Suggestions / Re: infra-red Panthers etc?

:O; Commissar? xD

The Infa-red is interesting; although would be more so if we could implement a proper Day/Night cycle to CoH.
Use for discovering cloaked unit's is a possibility; possibly by sweeping across a targeted area.

The invasion began what, June 1941? So was that before or after Mercury? After Mercury major Fallschirmjager air drops became rare doue to the disaster Mercury was in the beginning.
Germans didn't really exercise a lot of paradropping during that war. So these guys, doctrinally dropping from above in copious numbers (everybody loves to spam call-in elite, +the "super reinforcement" thing), is like that ridiculous V-rocket firing at military targets.
I don't see a reason why this should be discarded. If can be balanced and it's not a crazy idea, i don't see a problem.
Still, wouldn't be accurate would it?
Although then again, you have Penal Conscripts running around also...

The German Airborne; aka Fallschrimjagers did indeed stop airborne assaults - and eventually completed stopped getting any airborne training.
After Mercury Hitler more or less banned large scale airborne operations; small scale landings continued.
Brandenburgers converted to being completely land based though in September 1944.

Anyway - the way they will be working in EF won't be for large scale operations like the US Airborne in CoH. Skilled and deadly; they'll be designed to fuck shit up and annoy you ;)
Late 1944 when the majority of Brandenburgers met their end..."Many Brandenburgers, highly skilled in evading detection, simply disappeared."

"Operating under false identity of NKVD Major Truchin based in Stalingrad, Fölkersam explained his role in recovering the deserters to the Soviet commander in charge of Maikop's defenses. The commander not only believed Fölkersam, but the next day gave him a personal tour of the city's defenses. By August 8, the German spearheads were only 12 miles away. The Brandenburgers made their move. Using grenades to simulate an artillery attack, they knocked out the military communications center for the city. Fölkersam then went to the Russian defenders and told them that a withdrawal was taking place. Having seen Fölkersam with their commander and lacking any communications to rebut or confirm his statement, the Soviets began to evacuate Maikop. The German spearhead entered the city without a fight on August 9, 1942."

;)
Note; Brandenburger paratroopers will be 2 man squads.

Strange. Bish is upload them now to another site though.

@Baker Easy; that's not entirely true. I though that as well; but after Crete it was simply large scale airborne operations that were more or less banned. Small operations continued (ive seen dates as late as 1944); namely those of the Brandenburgers (elite special forces).
