Do this:

go to your steam library, click on Company of Heroes New Steam version, choose "properties"
In the next window, pick the tab "files" and then click "browse files".

Then look in the folder if there's an Eastern_Front folder inside. If not you didn't install it correctly.

If it's inside you can try starting manually.

Right click Company of Heroes new steam version, choose "properties"
Then select "starting options" and type in:

-dev -mod eastern_front

Then try to start the New Steam version and EF should lauch.

Just remember it might take up to a minute to fully load.

Ostheer and Soviet changes look pretty good, can't wait to see them in action :) But PE changes... I don't want to even think about those 5 man MP44 infantry-rapetrain squads with Zeal and vet, supported with Schrecks and "I-can-kite-your-armor-all-day" Marders against... Churchills? Riflemen?
I don't want to play Allies anymore...
Much more costly infantry compared to now (340 / 460mp per squad), higher unit upkeep, no more 50 fuel Armoured Cars, no Panther Battle group that can be spammed after a certain point in the game, no more super armour ketten planting booby traps and locating mines all the time (at least without upgrade), Stg 44 and g43 more expensive and no group zeal.

Oh and did I mention the bugged "double off vet stacking" bonuses are gone aswell?

Something has to compensate all those nerfs, and mind that this upgrade requires significant teching from the PE player (t1+t2+t3+t4) before unlocking it.

May I suggest something.
I noticed that the soviets have 2 main combat infantry. Conscripts and strelkovayya.

And ostheer only had landsers as the main combat infantry.
Is it okay if we add the volkssturm as the ostheers cannon fodder. I know it seems like a copy cat. But i think it will not break the mod's balance.

There was no Volkssturm on the Eastern Front. Volkssturm was utilized in the last stages of the war when the enemies breached the german borders.

Landsers are meant as mainline infantry for the Ostheer. It's a core concept that they are the only infantry unit the Ostheer fields.

Once more: the factions are not meant to include everything and anything that was ever used at any even so tiny point of the war on the Eastern Front. For each faction there is a selection units with certain gameplay roles. The aim is that soviets and ostheer are easy to pick up and overall fun to play, with refreshing new elements for the respective allies/axis side to provide gameplay alternatives to the existing Wehrmacht/PE and USA/Brits gameply.

Soviets and Ostheer are not meant to replace the factions but instead they're meant to complement them (i.e. strong self propelled tank hunters for allies, heavy tank buildable on allies side, on axis side mobile global healing operations, flame tanks, air strikes etc.).

That's why there will be no further random additions of units for the sake of adding units.

Oh. If its not possible. Then maybe those global upgrades are purchasable through manpower and fuel.
Then we have wehrmacht on allied side. Even though I intend soviets to be something like the "allied Wehrmacht" I dont want to make them a carbon copy.

Well, the combination of a global fighting veterancy and applying it to a certain unit type is interesting by itself. Question is rather how it fits into the faction gameplaywise.

Thing is that nobody knows why the game crashes in 2.300.

On the other hand - if you're playing no popcap/annihilation mode the game frequently crashes because of hardware overload (aka too much stuff for the pc to handle).

Just wanted to pop my head in and ask has the Romanian Doctrin been fully released yet? Or was it abandoned or still in production?
Let's say it's a mixture right now. It's not abandoned completely, but also no priority right now to work on. We'll re-add the doctrine after the steam release most likely.

What's the point to have a unit exclusively shoot down aircraft? Wehrmacht has no planes, PE has only Henschel planes, and Ostheer has 3 airplane abilities. So you'll use that unit only if you play agaisnt either luftwaffe doctrine ostheer. Not worth.

No point in doing that. T70 performs decent against infantry and tanks, adding an upgrade that is anti infantry only is pretty lackluster.
