Hello guys.
EF works correctly, but I can't join a game or invit a friend to play, i've got the same error text "you've been invited to ... but you can't join" and my friend too. My game seems up to date with the luncher, so what can I do?
Thanks!

It may sound really, really simple, but I've had this issue a lot too, and a number of things helped it.
- Add Company of Heroes and steam to the list of exceptions on your firewall, or should you want to risk it, shut off your firewall
- Turn off server-creating software like Hamachi or Game Ranger, if you happen to use it. This can sometimes confuse Steam, bless its cotton socks
- Run in administrator mode (both EF and Steam). Pathetically simple, but this one fixes it for me 80% of the time
I hope these help!
-
That doesn't work....
I say that but my friend has EF 2.1.0.2, and me 2.1.0.1, despite the fact that the EF luncher consider I'm up to date....
Any idea?

try to uncheck all reward units, restart ef and try again
maybe this can help

Does'nt work, not a single medal was activated.....;
Any others idea? Com 'on guys, I want to try Otsheer!
-
Are you sure you have the necessary ports open? Are you using some firewall other than windows' one?

Its not about medals, its about reward units - tanks/ infantry. They must be all unchecked :)

Thanks for the answers, but I unistall and re-install all (game and DLC), but now i've got an other issue, I can't lunch the game. With the install location folders, the game doesn't even start, and when I change it and put the files in the COH "new steam version" directory, it's "tales of valor" who start....
Any idea ?
-
Either:
1) You are not installing EF in the correct path.
or
2) Your EF launcher is using an incorrect path.
You should trying checking EF launcher CoH Directory option in the settings menu.
-
In general: Steam version doesn't work properly with skin and soundpacks. You should try to do a clean reinstallation and using EF after that.
-
I've installed EF in "D/Steam/Steamapps/common/COH relaunch. Isn't it the correct path?
And for the luncher path, I've check, it's the exact same one, where the COH.exe is located.......And that lunch Tales of Valor or Opposing front but not EF.
Do I have to re install all COH new steam version?
-
That means you installed EF in another subdirectory. Have you find Eastern_Front.module in the same path than COH.exe?
-
Yes, there it is.

Hello,
I'd like to stick my question to this topic. Maybe it's will be funny but please be tolerant. I have EF v. 1.8 because AI in Ostheer release is too bugged to play against them. When I tried to play online no games were found. My question is: If I want to play online with other people in EF should I install latest version EF?
-
If you use the 1.8 version you will only play with people with the same version.
Now, the 1.8 version is only used by guys that have pirated CoH or for those ones who play offline. So it is not a good choice if you want to play online.
We will be releasing a patch shortly, it should improve the AI, among other things.

@Blackkishop
Thank You for the answer. I'm waiting for update newest EF.

I've checked, every thing is in the corrrect path, like in the install tuto.
And now that I've Dl and installed the last patch, the game don't even start and I've got a crash report instead....
Any idea on what can I do?
Thanks
