Title: Tunngle Problem Incompatible Version LAN Game (2.602)
Post by: SilentAssassin on February 17, 2014, 11:30:01 PM
Since Company of Heroes got a new update that locked DLLs, I installed the old CoH 2.602 version of the game and Tunngle along with some friends.  We downloaded the newest version of EF and updated it until the launcher said it was up to date and then we replaced the new FactionFix.DLL file with the 1.7 FactionFix file.  When we launch Tunngle, join the same network, and then launch EF CoH, we can see each other's LAN networks but we can't join.  It says that we have incompatible versions but on the main menu it says that we have the same version.  Any ideas to what could be causing the problem? ???

My first guess: Does one of you guys a skinpack installed? Skinpacks tend to corrupt Eastern Front multiplayer.

No, we don't use any skinpacks.

Did one of you use a no-cd loader or something then, maybe? If you can't get it to work I'd suggest to uninstall, delete all files from the THQ folder, and make a clean reinstall.

None of us are using a no-cd.  I'll try to do a clean reinstall then.

The new CoH 1 patch that is coming in a few hours should fix the problem that EF factions couldnt be used.
... Of course if it is working... and I guess we all hope it is.
