Hello there i recently download the EF 2.2.2.0 patch i have TOV 2.602 no steam so i apply the compatibility patch everything OK ... but i used to play EF LAN games with my father i now i cant get it to work i cant see multiplayer LAN games created is this issue related to the updated ... my previous EF version was 1.4

I recommend to both of you to uninstall the mod, then go to the coh folder and make sure the EF related files are gone(EF folders, EF module files, faction fix dll). Then install the latest full version. Then install the compatibility patch.
-
thanx a lot for reply .... i gonna do that ... but just want to make sure that the issue is not related to the upgrade in the EF mod ... you mean that when i install the EF 2.2.2.0 mod and the compatibility patch LAN network should work?..... by the way i have the full install of the EF_Setup2.1.0.1_Full in order to reach 2.2.2.0 i use a lot of small patches ... thats ok???
-
The issues might be related to the way you installed it if you downloaded and installed the full installer 2.101 then downloaded and installed 2.220 and then the minor patches and then after that 2.300.
Every time a full version is released, the old one should be uninstalled before installing the new one.
-
do you think its better to download the new 2.300 full patch instead and then the compatibility patch
-
Yeah, that's the way to do it.
-
thanx bro for the quick replies ... ill come back to you as soon as i finish downloading and installing ... my internet its very very slow

Is it possible to play LAN on steam versions of the game CoH and running eastern front with steam version?
-
Afaik The new steam versoin only works with Internet. That means you can't Play lan even when you're in offline mode. It's stupid.
But yes, there's a Workaround:
If you've activated the new steam Version you also have Access to the regular steam Version of Tales of Valor (the 2.602 Version) in your game library. That means that you can download Tales of Valor on steam, then install Eastern Front (or copy your eastern front data to the 2.602 Tales of Valor Folder in c:/programFiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/company of heroes Tales of Valor). Then apply the 2.602 compability patch from moddb (http://www.moddb.com/mods/coheastern-front/downloads/eastern-front-compatibility-patch-for-coh-2602 (http://www.moddb.com/mods/coheastern-front/downloads/eastern-front-compatibility-patch-for-coh-2602)).
And now you can Play Eastern Front on LAN. But make sure you have an opposing fronts or tales of Valor disc for starting without Internet.

is there any way to start it without a disk?

You can download it from torrents (it's fine if you bought the game before).
-
that would work with the mod?
-
If it's 2.602, yes.
-
is there a link or something that i could go to in order to download the torrent and play EF on lan then? :D
-
We don't offer support for pirate versions, so you won't find it here :(.
-
dang, understandable though, so im pretty much outa luck to get my non steam version working on lan with EF?
-
I'm sure you would achieve it, it is not that hard, however, we can't offer you any help other than the download link for the patch for 2.602.
