Title: Questions about the audio used in the mod.
Post by: Rotter on September 12, 2015, 04:37:23 AM
I apologize if this question is a bit out there, but I've always been curious about extracting the audio you guys use for the various units with in the mod. Can it be done? If so, where would I go about looking or digging around? I just think it would be cool to rip the audio of some the units and use them in my phone for notifications and such. I really do enjoy the mod. :D

Do you refer to speech files or to weapons & ambient sound files?

[1] Launch Corsix's Mod Studio and goto data\sound\wav\music\brothers_ambient_amb.smf
[2] Right-click and select Extract this file
[3] Exit Corsix's Mod Studio  and goto the location of the file on your HD
[4] rename it brothers_ambient_amb.wav
[5] Double-click and you should be good to go with Windows Media Player

You have to search a little to find you are looking for just extract them, I guess you'll find what you are looking for.

Unfortunately, that program doesn't work on Win10. A system error keeps popping up each time I try to open the .exe.

Something about missing MSVCP71.dll

Common error. Just go ahead and download the missing dll and put it where it belongs:

Don't worry I download the archive and checked it for viruses, it's clean.

Hmmm... I've managed to correctly convert the audio files from the base game correctly... but when I go to try to play the audio files from the mod it seems that there is an error in trying to play the audio file back. Any idea what I could be goofing up?
