Hi to all. I would just like your votes about the possibility of adding a Dhsk Heavy machine gun team as an armory upgrade for sg43 goryunov. :)

Not sure what the purpose would be. I think the current hmg team is fine as is.

the purpose is just the appearance of the dhsk mg team.. faster suppression maybe..

I can understand the desire to have as much as possible, but the goal of the mod is to have good gameplay and balance, not to just cram as many assets in as possible. That works for other mods or games, but for Company of Heroes, this doesn't make sense. If there's no real reason to add the unit, it doesn't merit the effort required to implement it, especially from an animating perspective.

We have our priorities in order, and performing a laborious skin change for a unit that has no issues isn't one of our priorities. If we could freeze time we'd make all the suggestions you want, but as far as I'm aware, none of the devs can break the space time continuum.

Do you have animations required for the Maxim machine gun wheelie to walk?

As far as i know (Walki explained me the problem with the Maxim in the past) it is a heel of animation. You have to animate the infantry and the weapon and thats a hell of work!
So nope. AS far as i know there are no animations or plans for the Maxim. That is one of the reasons for the SG-43.

Indeed, if it would be easy more people would be throwing around custom mgs like that. But no one is doing that because it is no easy feat.

These animations are difficult to do, so they aren't worthy because what we have works fine and even if it doesn't, we would need to make sure it does instead of going forward to create something we aren't sure we will finish.

I am grateful for the existence of the SG-43, because if it didn't exist, Soviets wouldn't be having a HMG in their ranks (or perhaps would be using a retextured version of CW/US). That difficult is for everyone to create a different one.
