There are some ideas and things from forum, which I'd really like to see in Ostheer Army, read, comment and insert some yours.
system of veterancy-http://easternfront.org/forums/index.php?topic=1207.0
starting unit-recon squad
-3 poeple 2* kar98 1*g 43
-more hp than pioneers less than pe grenadiers
-really fast unit, fast capping, big line of sight, can detec mines
-they can build only first building
-upgrades:heavy engineers, g43 is replaced by flamethrower, can build defences and other buildings, can defuse mines
heavy recon, g43 is replaced by lmg, supression ability, more health
-
I had a very similar unit in my Ostheer concept, althought my veterancy system is quite different.
-
* Wespe *. Marder type. Elefant. Pz3 with lots of variants.
STUG !! Pz2. Motorbike of some kind. TRUCKS!!! (Opel Blitz)
Stuka (Junker 87), Messerschmidt gun run (like P47's)(No
aerial interdiction, thank you). Gustav Strike...
Pz4, Tiger, Panther (So sad they were taken up by Wehr).
Maybe HQ Railroad track brought-in units. I know Scruffs was
working on a locomotive :)
Hmm, yknow, it'd be nice if we could ADD doctrines to the
Wehr :p
- Finnish / Hungarian / Rumanian / Italian units
(Already 2 pure German factions, cmon... It's AXIS, damn
you. Not Germany against the world!) :)
JagdTiger. Would be nice to interchange it with KT.
Could Dev team at least DO that? :) Such a minor change ;)

I'd like to see Hitlers secrete body guard of "giant lesbian spiders" burro said that a while back
-
Yeah, that´s like dancing Stalin from Stalin vs Martians.
-
Hitler SECRET or SECRETE (TOTALLY completely different things) giant lesbian spiders????
... as in excrete, yknow?
-
I was planning to include a doctrine ability called "Bosnian Gebirgsjäger" which are members of the SS Handzar divisions. A calls in a squad of anti-partisan experts. Can detect cloak, disarm mines/bobby traps and can brak through supression.
-
I like that :)
-
Originally is my OStheer concept I was planning to do something more radical for the doctrines that would provide a really unique taste to each doctrine and would alter the compelte Ostheer Gameplay, the problems were two:
1. It was prone to imbalace
2. I dont know if it could really be applied.
-
Well, it's still interesting to discuss. Who knows what might
spring forth from that :)
-
Well the original idea was that isntead of the normal doctrines when you choose a doctrine you could deploy a "doctrine truck" which can deploy unique doctrine units and to research unique abilities
-
I like. It's like a doctrine unit (like Wehr Tiger, KT, etc)
xcept it's the actual HQ building ?
Might hit the 'needs too much work for it' bug.
As animating buildings is still a big pain :)
-
Nope, Its like calling the British HQ truck after is destroyed. The truck arrives, you can deply it whereever you want and you can deploy a wide array fo cool units and upgrades for both your normal and doctrien units. It also includes some "calls in" that work after completing all prior research. pretty mucho as the PE Panthers
-
I like :)
Needs Opel Blitz, though :)
-
I have already included the Opel Blitz in my concept... ::)
-
*Hugs* :) I really think trucks should be used more.
-
The problem is that the role of infantery transport is already helded by the halftracks.
-
"transport is already helded by the halftracks."
helded?
-
"transport is already helded by the halftracks."
not best english speaker in the world,Ok ?
Besides I havent slept in almost three days ;D
-
I don't think trucks are really needed.
Look at the other factions: Brits have them only as command-trucks and US, WH + PE rely on halftracks, real trucks like Opel Blitz or that Deuce are only represented in the SP missions.
Eastern Fronts wants to add new factions without breaking general gameplay, therefore I think the Ostheer shouldn't have trucks, too. (Besides for HQ-trucks, of course, but not for transport.)
-
I use the Opel Blitz as an ambulance in my concept...
