can you also play as Russians with Brits and US as your allies? just wondering if you can combine with other factions or is it just russians vs. germans. can't wait for the mod to be released!
-
Soviets ADDED to Vanilla COH clone.
So nothing different just about, with original game, except AI.
Oh, and the fact that there is now a NEW allied faction :)
Free French!
... Er, I mean Soviets ;)
-
The Soviets are added to the Allies, so you can play [US + Soviet + British] vs [PE + Wehr]

[US + Soviet + British] vs [PE + Wehr] then their gonna add Osth. that's gonna be their little name
-
Let's make that official :D
-
Osth or Ost?
Not that theres any practical difference, just in my mind the letters "s-t-h" together sound kinda hard to say :P
-
Yeah, Osth will sound like you're lisping
-
Aye, I'd be worried about spitting all over my laptop or something...

I have a mod that lets you play as a free french subfaction ;) Commando berets look good in blue. On topic though, im going to spell Osth as Osthpthbpbbb...

Yeah, Osth will sound like you're lisping
when are you going to say it? I have never "said" PE I have only typed PE so...it makes sense to say Osth
-

WartyX holey crap....I did something right! ;D well there are first times for everything

Look at my Suggestions Thread (http://easternfront.org/forums/index.php?topic=1553.0).
I think instead of just calling it "Ostheer", it should be a specific unit, like the Panzer Elite (Which is based on the Panzer Lehr).
In my Thread I recommended the Grossdeutschland Division (Short: GD), if you want to know why, just click the link above.
Also: Will we need Tales of Valor to be able to play it? Or only CoH + CoH:OF?
-
uhh huh? what? makes no real sense ;D
-
Just thought that instead of opening a new thread, I'd just mention this idea while you were talking about the Osth vs Ostheer thing ;D

Yes, that did make sense. And a Dev said that you can have:
A) COH
B) COHOF
C) COH + OF
D) COHTOV
E) COH + TOV
F) TOV + OF
G) COH + OF + TOV

General rule is that as long as the box says something about a company of heroes, then you can use it to play Eastern Front.
-

You can only speak for yourself, if anybody wants to shorten it while speaking in a shoutcast they will say 'Ost' not 'Osth'. Or just use plain 'Ostheer'.
Also, on a personal level, when i'm reading a forums I read inside my head. Osth would just get plain annoying since you don't pronounce it 'Osth-eer' you pronounce it 'Ost-heer', like 'Wehr-macht' or 'Brit-ish'. Do you call the Wehr 'Wehrm'? lol...
