I think the Red banner strelky is kinda too much. You should consider making a choice between smgs and lmgs. They just weren't that cool with all that firepower, You know, they should still be riflemen. But that is my opinion. ;D

Just drive a halftrack into them, or use an MG. They won't be much at all, then.

Agreed, could you change this slightly. Or have 2 ppsh or 1 LMG but not both, and the rest rifles.
And can you make the banner slighly bigger and cooler, it seems abit flat, and non wavy, it would just look awesome. The banner should dominate the battelfield, put fear in the enemy when they see that banner, it would just be cool if it actually waved more and was bigger, maybe with a more detailed ragged and war torn look :p
They should get a commisar asell, like conscripts do, just for astetics really. I mean all sqauds have a leader, and i know theres is a seargent probably, but could this be shown :p
Remember when in enemy at the gates they charge, and theres lots of different size flags, and they wave :P
but other than that, strelky are solid, and kl.

How does the Red banner not put fear in the enemy? It just screams "I'M COMING YOUR WAY WITH DP28S AND PPSHS MOTHER F***ER."
Also, I think a waving banner would need to be animated and well, let's face it, it's not something too far up the list of things to do.

No. I payed 200 munis for pa-pa-shas, dps, and a glorious Red flag. And I'm gonna get 'em.

yer, just slightly bigger though??? thats surely quite simple, i just found it was very small, like not even the size of the flag carrier :/ oo well

It wouldn't hurt if the Red Flag was bigger, but that would mean more work for the team. Think about the new model and anims. They are busy enough with the Ostheer as it is, so I'm willing to wait for it, If it is going to come.

Annaud hads a hard opinion about Soviet officers: all of them are equipped with a Red Banner and a megaphone!

and what? every battalion has its own battalion flag (standard) but they not fighting with it like this troops in the mod! =)

That's the reason why playing with them brings so much fun!
Some stats needs to be fixed, but in general this mod is superb!
Stop complaining -> start to play and give some more constructive tips.

Company of Heroes is not a realism rts. This mod is meant to be an addon mod to the Company of Heroes game. If you want a realism rts, go get Men of War. Or you can download N44 mod.

Generally, it is only in Annaud film soviet soldiers are all surrounded with red banners :)
An really, every regiment (not batallion) had only 1 Banner, wich was a holy relic to soldiers of its regiment, and was always places an a Staff of regiment (not with frontline squads). If it would lost or captured by enemy - regiment would be disbanded and ashamed.

Also, You see th original style and size of Banner. "Ingame" Red Banner is a copy from "EatG" film, wich is totally incorrect.

Hmm, NOO! They are the only damn Soviet infantry that can stand their ground, and are not OP at all. Live them alone or NKVD will get your name ... or nick

I don't think that they are OP, but just that strelkys look cooler with rifles than SMGs ;D. And why change their main rifleman unit into close combat units when you can make ingenerys become sturmovie and awesome in CQC. :-\ I love the red banner, but I feel that you just don't have LMG AND SMGs. Maybe a choise between thees two. Free, of course.

I would prefer the flag moved to the major, maybe with an upgrade that would allow them to be upgraded with better weaponry aswell as some sort of bonus, like a reduction in ability timers or let them throw a grenade, then replace the red banner strelky upgrade with this and have strelky get some weaponry with the upgrade /or by default.
I would name the upgrade to be something like "Guards status title" or some guards medal name (Heroes of our Soviet Motherland???) which then means you get the guards flag and priorities in weaponry and supplies.

Also, I would suggest to exchange two abilityes:
-"Za Rodinu!" - attack rush of Command Squad
-"Red Banner rush" of Strelki.
Logically, there must be only 1 Red Banner per player, wich supposed to be a Banner of Company. And it is more really and logically to give that "man with banner" to Command squad (wich supposed to be "curfew platoon" - "Banner Guard Platoon").
And with Strelki - instead of "man with banner" after upgrade, Officer could be added, with ability "Za Rodinu" - "attack rush".
It need just exchange those two abilityes.
Strelky (upgraded) will have their own officer (may be Warrant officer - "Veteran of front"), and ability "Attack rush"
Major with his Command Squad will have Red Banner of Company at the begin (and actual task to save it and take care of it :) ), and ability "Red Banner rush".
Would be again - more logical.

I was born in a communist country and all the movies I see all soldiers respect more then any thing will be s red banner . If the banner is fallen. Some one else takes his place. So cammabder squard should have a red banner

Well it looks like they fixed the strelkys (WOOHOO! ;D). I guess you moderators can lock this topic or something and the banner-guys can start their own topic.
