Video card make/model/speed:
(You MUST Include Graphic Driver Version. Example: Nvidia Driver 196.21)
Operating System version and 32bit/64bit:

Please Include your Video Card Driver Version!

Information needed:

Motherboard make/model/speed: Asus IPIBL-LB
CPU make/model/speed: Intel Core 2 Quad / Q6700 / 2.66ghz
hard drive: Two 500 gig HDs
Memory: 8gb ddr2

Me and a friend were doing a 3vs3 on Hill 331 and my friend crashed first, then I did a few minutes later as I was attacking the German base with a few juggernaut tanks. I already have my settings down to an almost bare minimum so as not to lag. I love the mod and really would like to figure out my problem. Also I'd say we were about an hour into the game when it crashed.

Game only seems to crash on 3vs3 maps and up, Changed graphic settings to lower quality (Normally on high) game still seems to crash in big games. Played several 2v2 abd 1vs1 on all maps ( For Easter fronts anyway ) None of which I crashed on. (Even played 2vs2 that lagged machine, yet still no crash, when I've played a 3vs3 and it crashed 15-20 minutes in, when no lag or slow down in sight.)
Update: recently played a few matchs ( 3) in 3vs3 and 4vs4 after the patch, and I had no crashes, but the games were played differently.first, there were only me and my other friend that kept crashing on large maps, second I was playing in Window mode( not sure if that makes a difference.)Also, My team was a Allied/Soviet Mix ( Past games crashing were just soviets.)

Dell Laptop Studio XPS 16
Intel Core 2 T9550
128gb Samsung SSD
4gb DDR3 Ram
ATI 4670 Catalyst 9.7
Windows 7 64bit Home Premium

I have had two crashes now, first time was when i sent 2 tanks to enemy base a t34 and the IS-2 i believe it is. Map was 1v1 Moscow map.
2nd crash was longer this time, but again had a crash when the T34 Tank got up close to an enemy (the wur light tank), on a stock map.
Seems to be mostly a crash when the t34 gets up close to another unit. Will see if i can recreate again since ive only had 2 games with 2 ctd error reports.
Played a few more games and managed to get it to CTD without a T34 in the game at all.

Unsure of the motherboard type...
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P8700 (2.53GHz,3MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz)
4096MB 1067MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]
1GB ATI® Radeon™ HD 4670 graphics card (driver: 8.631.0.0)
500GB (7,200rpm) Hard Drive
Operating system: Windows 7 64 bit

What map were you playing? Leningrad
Which factions were involved?Soviets, Americans, Wehrmacht and Panzer elite
What game mode were you playing? Skirmish
What were you doing when the crash occurred? Try to be as accurate as possible! Was about to capture a enemy held resource... munitions i think
Do the crashes happen during every game? Only on the Eastern Front maps, on the Relic ones it works fine
Have you applied or looked into any relevant fixes available on the forum: yes

Was in a 3 vs 3 skirmish on Leningrad with 5 AI players and 10 minutes in it crashed. Iv checked everything is up to date patch and launcher wise. This has happened everytime iv played the mod after the update for the launcher was applied.

p.s. I think the mod is awesome! It feels and runs just like an officially made COH extension  :)

Hope this helps

Post by: carnagel on January 25, 2010, 04:02:14 PM
After 50 or more crashes and failures to load over the past couple of days I have narrowed it down somewhat -

1. A loading error when the map is loading on some of the EF maps all types 2 though 8 man EF maps, never on a regular CoH map. This generates an error that says 'cannot write error log check your temp folder has enough space'. No idea what that means, but I have a couple hundred gig spare if that's any help

2. A full game crash, sometimes with no option but to restart the computer (very annoying) on 3v3 and 4v4 maps, both EF and regular CoH usually after a fair amount of play time. All times it was late game when crashing this way.

I actually haven't been able to finish a 3v3 or 4v4 map with this mod due to it crashing - and that is using different match-ups with both allies and opponents.

Even tried not using Russians on a 3v3 regular map, and it crashed, started the game under the regular relic login and played the exact same match on the exact same map and had no problems. So I don't think it is the Russians, it is something else.

I've had the freeze up issue the last 2 games, could not even ctrl+alt+delete and had to cold boot. Both were comp stomp games with friends, playing as Soviets.

The 2 games before when I tried to host, was frozen at the very end of loading screen. The last mm of loading bar would blink while friends were in game. Had to ctrl+alt+del out of CoH.

Please help. Game is great, thanks!

My Specs:
Motherboard: No Idea, It's a Toshiba Notebook
CPU: Intel Core2Duo/T6500/2.1GHz
HDD: 500GB/5400RPM/SATA(2?)
Mem:4GB/800 MHz
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Driver Version:8.632.1.2000
OS: MS Windows 7 Professional 6.1.7600

I know, my Graphics-driver is surely outdated...
But i found something, that could be intresting (Point 4):

1. I played against CPU only.

2. When i played WH against Russia, nothing crashed.
The crashes occured, while I played russians on all doctrines, at mid or late game.

3.Crahes happened on the following Maps:
Flusstal Vire, Smolensk and another EF Map(haven't played more yet).

4.Now the intresting part:
At least at two crashes, which I remember, I saw tanks colliding.
The first time it was a T70 and a PzKw IV (1 on 1, Red army against WH on Smolensk).
Second time a Panther and a Sherman of my CPU Mate. (2 on 1, Red Army and US against WH on Vire).
Afterwards the Game instantly crashed to desktop.

Hope this helps!

Keep it up, you guys have done a very good job on this one!
This could be sold at twice the price of ToV ;) Even better that you do it for free...

Prost! Mojo

Edit: My Syslogs just told me, that my Graphics keeps throwing errors. I will update and try again...

Computer is an early 2009/late 2008 Aluminum MacBook

Not sure Motherboard type
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P7350 @ 2.00Ghz
FUJITU MHZ2160BH FFS G1, Not sure of the speed
2.0GB of Ram
Nvidia GeForce Go 9400m with Custom drivers from LaptopVideo2Go.com version 185.20
Windows XP Home Edition SP2 32bit

The map was "The Scheldt", I was playing online with a friend, we were both PE, playing against 2 normal Soviet AIs with Annihilate as the game mode.

When the crash occurred I just got back from eating and I went to move my mouse and the game suddenly froze, the sound was repeating and the only thing I could do was move the mouse, I managed to Alt + Tab and quit it. I was looking at the bridge on the top right side of the map in between starting places 1 and 3, there were quite a few craters and they were bringing up some T-34s to attack the bridge, This was about an hour into the game.

It used to crash almost every game before I reinstalled windows but this is the first time since, before I reinstalled I had the same graphics drivers, the only difference was that I haven't got around to installing all the windows updates yet, I also still had SP2 before I reinstalled.

Before I reinstalled It used to crash about every 15-20 minutes, the only map that I played on that I never had problems with was Leningrad, I also played on a small 4 player map which was listed as small and it crashed too, so I don't think it's a problem with the size.

I have not found any fixes on the forum.

Also if it helps, I found this in the warnings.log

SIM -- Attempting to query bag not associated with this group type.
Group is of type 8.  Query is for type 1.  Group name: 'sbps\races\allies_soviets\soldiers\soviet_stsappers_squad'

Hope I could help in some way

This is by far the most helpful report until now. That crash shouldn't occur after the next patch anymore.
