I really love this mod, but I don't like how the Soviets can't reman equipment such as mortars and AT guns. I know that allowing squads such as conscripts can make replacing equipment too cheap to be fair, but I was thinking of allowing Ingenery to reman heavy mortars and AT guns.
This would consume the squad as Soviet equipment has 4+ squad sizes which equals 150mp, which I think is fair and balanced. It also makes sense, since Ingenery probably could use such equipment compared to your standard conscript. If Volksgrenadiers can use mortars and AT guns, Ingenery should be able too. I also realize that maybe the Soviets shouldn't be allowed to reman enemy equipment since they wouldn't consume the squad.

It's understandable why Soviet army can't occupy enemy equipment, but why Soviet army can't occupy there own free equipment: Mortars, AT ?

I find it very annoying when my mortars or AT guns or the arty emplacements or left unmanned in some way, and that I can't re-man and have to buy them all over again. Especially when your in the heat of a battle and need the mp.
Hopefully this will be changed soon.

The Soviets can´t recrew heavy weapons because there are problems with CoH´s programming.
Also, the Soviet heavy weapons are cheap enough to be spammed.

hmmm kind of true but 350 mp for a mortar is not nothing. And when your arty emplacement is unmanned you have to build another one. Eventhough it only cost 300mp.
But hopefully they will fix it. So that you can re-man your own weapons and arty emplacements. If the EF team ever intented that the soviets could re-man their own weapons.

We really want to fix the Recrewing crash, if we don't the Ostheer will have no recrewing either (pretty freaking lame). Unfortunately, it requires some technical support from Relic themselves, and that could take time. They've already helped us once (with patch 2.601), but we can't guarantee they'll help us again. We sent them a rather large email regarding the issue.

Right now, it's the only real thing which gives the soviets a kind of disadvantage to the other factions and save a last bit of balance.

Arty emplacements are already 100 fuel, and are pretty inaccurate, they shouldn't be changed, if anything its accuracy should be increased.
Most of us can agree that the mortar is overpowered, but I don't think raising MP cost or leaving it impossible to reman is the answer. I think the mortar should be 325 mp tops and just nerfed. Keep the same long range it currently has and change the power to something about the same as the other mortars. Maybe add a special ability that allows the mortar to fire an HE barrage, which is basically what a heavy mortar barrage currently is. Give it a 3 minute cooldown.

I agree with Maphlez..... It already cost an arm and a leg to build some of there stufff..then to charge more?? :o.... Oh the partisans can take mortars, ats,ect.....cool huh? :D

I know it's a bug right now that relic needs to fix, but I don't think Conscripts should be able to re-man heavy weapons or pick up weapons left behind for balance reasons. But when it comes to any other unit taking up a population point, they should be able to re-man equipment.
It could be reasoned in game that "due to their poor training, they don't have time to figure out the weapons on the field".
Let me know what you think.
EDIT: I was just able to pick up a panzerschrek with one of my Red Banner units. Is this possible? I thought this was still bugged.

I kinda like the idea of only letting Ingenery remann weapons. Given the massive squad sizes, most other factions would be at a disadvantage if the soviets were able to reman their MGs and still have a functional unit as support.
EDIT: I was just able to pick up a panzerschrek with one of my Red Banner units. Is this possible? I thought this was still bugged.
It's heavy weapons. Smaller stuff like BARs, Panzerschreck, and so on work.

It has the same range as an US or non doctrinal UK mortar (75) but when its upgraded it has the same range as the german mortar!(85)
Only the Canadian doctrinal mortar has more range. (120)
