Title: Russian Tank Traps---AT Trenches??
Post by: major_roadworks on June 24, 2008, 07:38:09 PM
Perhaps it would be possible to not use tank traps for the russians, instead use AT trenches, a big ditch that a tank cant cross because it gets stuck. It could also function like a normal trench only slightly bigger. ie. machine guns and mortars could be placed in it?

Hmm....
And that mortar or MG will be smashed when drunk German tank crew will try to cross it ;D

Imo yhis is not nice idea. Coz Red Army without tank traps is not a Red Army

maybe it could be included in addition to dragon's teeth? You could use them to lure tanks into a firebase and use at rifles to take them out.

Yeah, because often mines immobilised heavy tanks which could be taken out with infantry, like in saving private Ryan (except they use composition b charges toake sticky bombs)

Probably not, since anti-tank trenches are obvious and easy to avoid: maybe both could be included: one as a temporary barrier, the other permanent.
