Here's an ide. What do you think? Deployable 88mm, but it will be brutal?
-
All heavy guns are deployable. engineers deploy them. Its not like they build them out of sand and wood.
-
Youre saying you want a mobile 88?

In the game the engis build it. And yes, I want a mobile 88. Sorry guys for my bad english... :P Switching from my native language to english... its a bit hard to explain myself.
-
is possible add this using corsix, download link please. ;D
-
And yes, I want a mobile 88.
a tiger I :)
-
Problem with a mobile 88, is that it would have to be towed. Unfortunately, no such animation is present in CoH and I'm pretty sure the modders can't add new animations.

What about making it be "pushed" like other artillery guns, or have it "lock" to a truck like British lieutenants and line infantry but make it lock on much closer so it "looks" like it is being towed.

This gun was bigger than a cromwell. It cannot be pushed.

That's true. :D
And the real sad thing, that can't be done: no recrew of the AT gun, and Mortar. :'(

That's a bit of an exaggeration. I think the Cromwell weighed about the same as a Sherman (+/- 30 tonnes) and a 88mm on a chassis weighed up to 10 tonnes. Of course, pushing it is impossible either way ;D I think I've heard about 88mm's being put on the chassis of PzKw IV's, but I don't think they saw action. Probably never made it beyond a prototype.
It's too bad really. I remember using the 88mm on a chassis, just like in that picture in the Sudden Strike games and they were my favourite guns.
-
the SdKfz 164 Nashorn use the 88 canon and many of his components are from panzer III/IV
-
Youre saying you want a mobile 88?
That's called a Tiger I E...when will people learn lol
serious (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqR5UIxkt6U#normal)
-
Can Tiger fire at distance as flak 88 can?
can tiger shoot on planes?
NO so don't compare this things Flak 88 is a unique weapon Tiger too but those two things are different
-
Nah, you just don't get that a Tiger 1 was armed with the flak 88 and the reason the coh 88 has that range is because its a structure that doesn't move and can be killed easily....not even relic would make these mobile and these guys are full of bad ideas lol

It was the series called "Grille" and was completly useless on the battlefield.
-
If you want a mobile 88 then maybe use the Pak 43, it can't shoot at planes but it can move(well I know in real life it would require a truck to tow but then again this isn't a realism mod) What do you guys think?
-
I quite like this Idea, I was thinking you could get a halftrak or an Opel Blitz to tow it, and of course it would take time to set them up.
