What if the outpost for the soviets was the same at the beginning of the game but at the upgrade center (200-300 MU, or at least make it doctrinal) you could upgrade it to take the place of an mg dugout (solving the mg emplacement problem) and also there would be light anti-tank weapons (not enough to take out a panther but be able to kill a Puma and greatly damage a Stug but still be destroyed by said Stug, saying the Puma or Stug came in alone. This is an outpost in my eyes, if an "outpost" cant defend itself then why not just call it a "Mustering point" instead.
Those are my thoughts and suggestions, Thank you

Than it would be the same as a wehrmacht bunker.
Also Russians can only have global or free (Strelky SMG or LMG) upgrades.

Then why not make it an Armory option, I.E. "Outpost Gunners" **MU, Equips all bunkers with machine gunners.
-
Well to keep the spirit of the Russian Propaganda Doctrine why not a Bunker for 350-450MP, replaces the Outpost, can't be damaged by rifle bullets, still serves the function of the outpost with a 250 Muni upgrade from the Armory to upgrade them with a forward MG as long as you have the CP choice

Id like the MG idea. And becouse (thats what I think) the outpost model is based on 17lbs maybe that MG could have an Face Weapon ability like the 17lbs.
But as you said it needs to be expensive (250 Muni). Soviets cant have a bullet proof MG nest early in the game becouse they would be good at both defense and offense.

If the outpost becomes a defensive bunker then the mortar should be downgraded, it already does MASSIVE damage to infantry and it also does the job of suppressing, so in my view, the defensive bunker should be a doctrine unit, and whatever that doctrine you go, depends if whether or not the mortar should be downgraded to a 76mm or something similar, because once you get the mortars and defensive bunkers, on top of "Super Heavy Tanks" (IS-2) and Vet3 engineers that can take out KCH theres really nothing the Axis player can do. So really: this is what it should be:
If the Russian player uses this "defensive" doc, the IS-2 should not be build-able anymore and the mortar is downgraded, HOWEVER, the Russians get everything the British would get defensivly (AT Emplacements, Light AT weapons, Artillery emplacement, and MG emplacement and trenches) The IS-2 ,the mortar, and the artillery emplacement are not build-able until after the player chooses a doctrine.

So you want a Russian British version? Go play brits if you want emplacements, if you noted what I said I stated that ONLY Propaganda war would get the MG upgrade in the armory, the rest only get the bunker

Last I checked, this was MaxConner's post, not yours Hgg. So, clearly, I wasn't talking to you. I guess you cant see the obvious.
-
right I know, but what you are askin is for is a russian variant of the British...
-
Well, kinda yeah, I dont play Russians at all (only seldomly), but what I was saying was that the Russian's "retardation" of a MG evens out the fact they have a "super" mortar, I, however, went onto a wider diverse discussion about it.....I just think that if the Russians want a "Bunker" system it should be a totally different doctrine. If you get a good solid defense for the Russians it should even out thier offensive capabilities.

These are suggestions not declarations kiddies. Discuss, not flame, it always comes up with better more balanced compromises for the dev to to work from instead of a smattering of everyones own (inevitably) slightly biased ideas.

you guys do have to note that the mortar is super yes..BUT the russians cannot recrew so that is why the are so good they die and cannot reman fast so et them pack a punch while they can
