Hey Guys, I have thought of some ideas for the upcoming Campaigns and I'd like to give you some Ideas for it. 20-25 Missions.
Battle of Moscow(missions 1 and 2)- You and your ally player will start off penetrating German defenses and force yourself into the capital. Then after that the Germans are planning to attack the city and you have like 15-20 minutes to prepare. Then you only have 30 minutes to defend the city of Moscow including the capital. At last but not least you have to neutralize the Tiger Tanks approaching the capital.
Battle of Stalingrad(missions 3-5) You start off with tons of troops charging at the city to gain control of the city but 1st you have to eliminate 10 bunkers defending the city with the help of your allies. But Then you take out the remaining enemies and then at mission 4 you meet up with the command squad but has to bypass enemy defenses. Your gonna have a small squad and a sharpshooter team. But for a short while a little German counterattack is headed your way so for a few minutes Defend the HQ. For the 5th mission you discover German arty hitting the cities of Stalingrad so you trespass the Germans and neutralize their arty and Stalingrad is then safe and secure.
This is all me for now but later i'll post part 2.

I didn't understand your post quite well. Try to expand it mission by mission, not just a jumble.

I agree with Cranial... try and make your ideas a little more coherent.
Also, just a pointer, there were no Tigers in the Battle of Moscow. Battle of Moscow ended in January 1942, Tigers didn't appear until September 1942.

i was about to mention the same thing ;D

20-25 Missions. You must be joking. Even the US campaign has less missions. :)
Relic made campaigns to teach players the basics of gameplay.
4-6 missions is enough to teach anyone how to play Soviets. Maybe Ostheer army will be more difficult to master so their campaign will be longer.
For Soviets I would make missions like this:
1. Smolensk/Kharkov/Kiev (any of these maps will do) 1941 - retreating mission.
Defend a line using infantry, trenches, and AT guns only. Germans attack with infantry, halftracks, PE ACs, Pumas and Ostheer PzIII (or/and PzII). Must use Propaganda Strategy.
Destroy 20 enemy vechicles to get a medal.
2. Moscow counerattack. Use 2 T-34/76, Gaurds/PPSH Srtelky Sniper teams and AT rifle squads to stop the enemy advance. Defending 3 points. Fight back (counterattack). Must use Propaganda Strategy.
Dont loose any of 3 points to get a medal.
3. Stalingrad urban combat. Use Sniper Ace in Stalingrad to save Constripts from German MGs. (If a constript squad dies another squad apeares). Motorbibes and grenadieres are patroling the aera. Must use Urban Combat Must use Strategy.
Minimize constript casualties to get a medal.
4. Kursk battle. Defend youre entranched positions from PzIVs, Panthers, Tigers and Ostheer Ferdinands with support. Then use a blob of T-34/76 and 1 KV-2 to finish them off.
Minimize tank casualties to get a medal.
5. Berlin battle. Youre forces are teched-up in 100%. Use them to capture Berlin before the Americans do. Time mission. Germans have a King Tiger, a Jagdpanther, cloacked Stormtroopers, 88s and Nebelwerfers/Hummels/Walking Stukas... and more!
Kill all SS oficers retreating west to get a medal.

Well just make how many you want, you don't have to stick with my opinion. Just do at least 20.
Battle of Moscow
Mission 1: Your objective is to penetrate german defenses and retake the city + The capital then defend Moscow. And Your done.
Battle of Stalingrad
Mission 2: You start off with a AI ally lucky lol. But Your troops will be crossing the river up to the city and neutralize the german bunkers defending the outskirts of stalingrad. Tons of Troops will be at your disposal and Then after that You kill every remaining German in the Outskirts of Stalingrad. :)
Mission 3: After the headstart at the Stalingrad river you now have to breach German defenses and after that you control a couple squads + a sniper ace to meet up with Commissar whoever. Somehow an arty barrage starts to hit the city from the east and your Ingenery will plant explosives on the arty guns so the germans won't use them again to hit you.
I hope I explained this good enough, whatever comes next tell me and I can make some more ideas.

20 mission? You want to wait 3-5 years before the campaign is done?
-
Realistically, 1 mission would take 2 - 3 weeks to be well done by a single person.
I can always say this though, you can't spare expense when it comes to kicking the most Evil man in history around a bit.

Incorrect, a (one) map take about 4-8 months to complete for a mappers, due to work, school, life, boredom etc.
Then add probably a month of coding (at least) to make a good mission, giving us a limit on aprox 6 missions per year. I however see this as a pretty optimistic number, and don't think that it will keep on going for more then a year, due to drop out and more boredom.

Now, where would such a realistic estimate come from? Have you managed to do that yourself and are quoting timescales like that drawing from your own experience?
An estimate based on zero experience is not realistic, its just a bad guess
With our campaign...you should listen to what Rizz says...
You should probably look forward to something along the ToV campaign lines...and no I'm not stating you'll get 9 missions cause we don't know yet and it depends on how it pans out

Honestly I think you should wait until the Ostheer is done. It would add a nice unit variation.
On the other hand, the ONLY faction without a real campaign is the Wehrmacht. Maybe there could be a dual battle with the Ostheer as one CPU and the Wehrmacht as the other?

Good point...however, the ToV campaigns use some WH units as well as PE ones... :)

Don't have TOV, just GOTY ;)
Basically I could buy TOV and punch in the code, and the GOTY would just unlock it. Right now all I have is vCOH. OF can also be unlocked ;)

I have some ideas also for an Soviet campaign, ill descripe them quick with no story line just the features and goals to be achived.
Leningrad. (The revival of Leningrad)
You need to protect an Food, medi, ammo supply convy who drives over the leningrad frozen lake with anti air stuff. The Convoy will be attacked by german fighter/bomber planes and you succeed by preventing a number of casualties to the convoy.
Partinsan (Rising Resistance)
You will be given a small group off partisans, whos task is to destroy brigdes, bomb fuel depots and railway stations around the map, you will be hunted by Anti Partisan squards so the Camoflage ability will also be necessary to use. at the end off the mission you will have enough CP points to unlock the sniper ace for an small assasin misson, killing a german general garisoned in an guarded Estate on the country side.
Barbarossa. (Broaken Alliance)
You start at a small military airfield where you have a bunch off conscripts (+ command squard), you have to defend the airfield with propaganda doctrine until some off the russian planes gets in the sky, a huge axis panzer force is comming from the north to the south, fighting its way throw a weak CPU resistance force, when they reach the airfield its over and you will be ordered to evacuate your commandsquard and leave the rest, you will also need to pick up Fuel+ammo boxes on the way to the evacuation point.
small kampfgruppen axis infantry will assault the airfield until the panzer force comes up, if the axis infantry breaks throw and destroy a number off planes trying to take off you will FAIL the mission objective.
thats all so far if you are interested in my ideas ill work on a story line for the missions ;D.

RED ARMY FACTION : LEVEL I
I. Back, Back, Back
I. Operation Barbarossa is in full effect. Comrade Stalin was caught napping and now the Soviets are paying for it. Soviet infantry on occupied Poland are being slaughtered left right by the Luftwaffe and the incoming Panzer Groups. The mission here is two-fold. Survive, and, as ordered by your superiors, ensure as many of your brethren survive as possible.
As a commander, you control mostly Conscript squads and have to entrench yourself as the Wehrmacht advances. The player uses the Propaganda Doctrine. The map is that of the sweeping, summer plains with two east-west roads that turn into a single junction. There is a Soviet base on the far East end of the map by the road. As the mission starts, several beleaguered Conscripts come from the west reporting the Germans are attacking, and you are responsible for the defense until the injured troops and trucks can get further east.
Objectives
1. Maintain the Front as long as possible while other units retreat. (4 minutes)
2. Hold back the Wehrmacht from taking the road as long as possible.
3. Retreat back to the junction and hold it as long as possible.
Secondary Objectives
1. Protect Comrade Kuzichinko's damaged T-34 until its repaired. (This will occur as he retreats along the road in objective two.)
