I just read that when the Lieutenant gets vet 3 it add 4 population cap to the player. Can this be added to conscripts, so they all give +1 population cap, but also take up a population cap? If so it might be possible to see how many men you have back in the squad. Just a thought.
-
Dont know what you mean, anyone help?
-
He thinks that the fact that conscripts doesn't show its numbers(or how many solders left :P), its caused by having no pop cap, so he says, give each one conscript +1 to pop cap, to know their exact number and then -1 in order to allow them to have their initial pop cap cost(Nullifying). Am i wrong?

Only 3 posts and I'm already totally confused...

Sorry... my mistake :P i get confused too...
He says that conscripts are unable to represent how many soldiers have because they have no pop cost. So they will now cost pop, and you will know how many are. But you are changing the concept of that unit, free pop cost in exchange for counting how members have, so as bonus, he gives +8 to player's total pop cap each time he creates a conscript unit. By example:
You start a game and build a conscript squad and now costs 8 pop cap. Hypothetically, your cap is 50. So player's total pop will increase from 50 to 58 and the count of "used/available" cap will be 8/58(of course ignoring the mgs and engeneers cost). Do you think is better now ???
P.D. If I use 8 as base number because i barely remember that conscripts have 8 soldier per squad.

Interesting idea.

Rizz!! you have a icon too! Like warty. Hmmmm
On Topic: Its a interesting idea. Wouldnt that beat the point of them?
-
Well, i think it could work; besides if devs implement such feature, conscripts will work as always, cost "no pop" literally, and when the squad suffer casualities the total pop cap should decrease by 1, until is the unit is anihilated. I don't know if its possible to code something like this though.
-
but who cares about conscripts squad sizes- I think devs dcided to not show the number of man left to show that soviet commanders weren't so intrested in conscripts losses.

Exactly.
Personally, the lack of info re their number is perfect- i throw those poor saps away like confettie, which is exact5ly how they should be treated.
Cheap, nameless, and lots of 'em.
Why go through hoops to satisfy a accounting urge?

By Medic, DUH! (XD Just Kidding ;))
100% sure if your troops get hit with a mortar and they stay partially in-tact, with a leg missing, medics STILL can't fix them.
Pity. If I had a new troop for every arm I've sent flying from bombarding the enemy I'd have 125 NKVD Conscript Squads. :D
On Topic, the idea is interesting but sounds really complicated.

.
Not true. You never get 'partial dicapitation' in the game(which would have been alot better/realistic) and only intact guys are picked up

That's what I was trying to say V.V
