Title: Patch 1.10 issue

Hello this is my first post on the Eastern Front.

When I try press play in the launcher for some reason an error message pops up and says Eastern Front is up to date. This messsage wont let me play the game, and every time i press play the message apears. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Screenshot please - also try the other button if you are using a local language - something can have been messed up (check for update and play can have been switched).

Far Left one is "play"

I know the left one is play, i'm saying it still won't work. This problem could be unique to me.

Until we figure this out, just make a shortcut of RelicCoH.exe in the Company of Heroes Folder. Right click it -> properties.

At the end of target line add -mod Eastern_Front -dev, so it looks like this (you probably will have another path)
"D:\Spel\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -mod Eastern_Front -dev

It didn't let me even create another RelicCOH.exe in my company of heroes folder, I just hope you guys get this problem solved soon!

Don't create another RelicCoH.exe, create a SHORTCUT to it. Or just make of a copy of your old shortcut.

Right click on RelicCoH.exe->Send to->Desktop(as link) or something like that :).

By the way i have found why the launcher throws "Eastern Front is up to date". Didn't know if you discovered a long ago but here is it... as simple as can imagine :P.

What line? Are you talking about my "CoH Directory"?? I deliberately put the wrong path, "...\Company of Heroes\BugReport" to test it, do you have steam CoH? You must select your correct route on it, by default are these depending of what you have:

a)C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes
b)C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes

By the way do you have administrator account?

P.S. If you arent talking to me just pretend not reading this ::).

You must run EF with administrator rights, this could be done:

a) You must run it with an administrator account.
b) An administrator checked in compatibility tab on EF_Launcher.exe properties the option "Run this program as administrator" or something like that, near the bottom of the properties window. Please correct me if I stated it wrong.

Just post it here, a single little character wrong could do a hell of a problem, that's why he have the launcher ;)

But yah, also take a screenshot of your CoH Directory in Settings in Launcher.

All those files... They should be "C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes" not in "My Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes" (all files and folders that starts with Eastern or EF)

I think i had the same problem as you guys but i managed to fix it, make sure you are the administrator on ur machine then take down ur fire wall, up date ur java script, reinstall EF, update EF then go to settings and type in the COH directory, and now put ur fire wall up, i don't know why this worked for me it just did as i think the main problem is that it doesn't save the COH directory, and some how this inables it to.  Happy gaming  ;D
