This tank should have the 75mm cannon, not the 76mm upgun.
I dont know the current stats other than it has no 50cal and lower armor/hp than an american sherman, but it is still pretty much too good for as early as it can come out. It should be exactly as it is now, but with the 75mm.

76mm = puma one shot

I found myself favouring the call-in sherman when i went the breakthrough doctrine over Russian armour which i think shouldn't happen.
I'm not sure how best to go about reducing the Sherman power, but i see it does need fixed and weakening the main gun or giving it weaker armour might work out. Or increasing it's Manpower cost to say 550-600?

I don't have any problem with the 76mm, but IMO the Lend-Lease Sherman should at least have less HP and speed than it currently has (taking into account the fact that the Soviet tank crews just weren't as well-trained as the other Allied or even German ones). I also like the fact that the Devs didn't give it a .50 cal so that the infantry can at least have a fighting chance against it.
However, it DOES appear too early in the game---and at a very cheap price too. Both players and AI would forgo T-34s and opt for Sherman spams instead...which is just wrong. I believe that this issue was also discussed in a separate thread before).
so, in a nutshell:
- weaker armor/HP.
- less speed and maneuverability (a Russian tank commander would want to be more careful with his brand-new Lend-Lease Sherman toy, wouldn't he?)
- higher unit price (at least 620MP).
- readjustment to teching tree to make it appear later in the game.

I agree some things. (Teching and price changes)
Soviet Sherman should be as fast as Firefly with same or more HP (550). They had diesel engines (Unlike US M4s) so lowering their HP is wrong.

I think it should have the 75mm cannon as the 76mm only came into production by about 1944 (I think). Plus I can see the Americans giving the Russians the lower quality tanks any way ;D

half the shermans they received from the 4k where 76mm ;)

+1
Not to mention just how many Shermans were sent to Russia as part of the Lend-Lease agreement. ('Round 3600 tanks)
And the Russians DID use 'em. Alot.
"On Shermans. We called them "Emchas", from M4 [in Russian, em chetyrye]. Initially they had the short main gun, and later they began to arrive with the long gun and muzzle brake. On the front slope armor there was a travel lock for securing the barrel during road marches. The main gun was quite long. Overall, this was a good vehicle but, as with any tank, it had its pluses and minuses. When someone says to me that this was a bad tank, I respond, "Excuse me!" One cannot say that this was a bad tank. Bad as compared to what?" -Dmitriy Loza, Russian tanker
And...
"'- It is considered noteworthy that the Sherman was very well appointed on the inside. Was this true?'
'- It was true. These are not just words! They were beautiful! For us then this was something. As they say now, "Euro-repair"! This was some kind of European picture! In the first place, it was painted beautifully. Secondly, the seats were comfortable, covered with some kind of remarkable special artificial leather. If a tank was knocked out or damaged, then if it was left unguarded literally for just several minutes the infantry would strip out all this upholstery. It made excellent boots! Simply beautiful!'"
