I installed 1.10 after uninstalling 1.4, and now when i click play the launcher just sits there and does nothing.
-
If you uninstalled 1.04, I recommend you uninstalling 1.10 and then deleting your Eastern_Front folder. Then installing 1.10 again.
Patches files are not removed by the initial uninstaller due to technical reason, however the patch would have removed they just fine if you had let it ;)
-
that may explain why my ef is rapingly slow
-
It still dosent work. I uninstalled 1.10 and then deleted all ef related files, then reinstalled, nothing.
-
I have a very familiar bug. I have the newest version (I guess it is 1.1.1.1), and every time I click "play", nothing happens! If I change the coh-folder-settings, the bug "version is up to date" appears. If I choose the correct one, simply nothing happens!
I even reinstalled both, coh AND ef, cause I had some chaotic folder system, it didn't help!
The verson 1.0 worked properly, until I discovered the patch^^

What .NET framework(s) do you have?
EDIT: Are you sure that you have "Eastern_Front.module" in your CoH directory?

Something >2.0 Where can I find the exact version?
Are you sure that you have "Eastern_Front.module" in your CoH directory?
I have installed ef in the following path: /program files/thq/company of heroes [installation folder of coh]/eastern front [self-created folder]/ Eastern_Front.module
Shouldn't I install ef there? Can I simply move the files whitout reinstalling them?

My path is, ignoring the "(x86)" because i use x86 64...
C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes
and then over that directory i have Eastern_Front.module and Eastern Front folder, I attach a screenshot. My OS is in spanish but that should be enough ;D.

You shouldn't have self-created folder, the Module file MUST be in the main CoH folder, and real Eastern_Front Folder MUST be in the main CoH folder.

Ok.... can I simply move the folders there or am I forced to reinstall ef? I don't really like install things 5 times a day :D

Uninstall it if you can, Eastern Front has its own uninstaller. After that you can install again 1.10 and update to 1.11 and later 1.111.
-
Moving should be enough, just make sure that you also change the path in the launcher.
-
Yep, moving was enough, ef works!
The path was already correct.
Thank you all! ;)

Jeeze, apparently regular COH dosent work either. Im gunna do a full reinstall.

I got the same problem. When I installed EF I trusted the setup to install the mod in the correct path. So now before I redownload Company of Heroes (~9gb), could someone please provide the correct install path so I can just move the folders?

If you got it on steam:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes
This is if you run x86. IF not add " (x86)"after "Program Files".

After reading this topic I realised where my folders were mixed up, Thank you.
But now I have the MOD running, in the flip down menu there are only Americans or British, I cant see the Soviet flag.
I have COH on Steam and I'm not sure what Patch I'm on because when I tryed to Patch it says "....but you appear to have a UNKNOWN version installed."
I thought Steam keeps us up to date...Need help, Thanks! ;D
-
You should run EF from the EF Launcher, not from Steam ;D.
-
I just did and still no Soviet Troop option shows up when I press Skirmish?
I see no Soviet Flag, Just Wehrmacht, Panzer Elite, American and British. ???
The Flags show up now, I hadn't transferred all the folder.
But I started Berlin but it never loaded and nearly stopped my whole PC from doing anything? ???
Must just be a firstime load but I'll try again!

That's the exact folder in which I installed, still doesn't work.
Ehh, I'll uninstall for now and wait for the next update.

Could you upload a screenshot of your CoH path? I don't think you need to download 9GB :-S... that would be the last option, first you need to check the file's integrity (Steam->Library->Games->Comapny of heroes->Properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Game Cache), you should have Eastern Front in the same folder than coh, i mean i. e., RelicCoH.exe and EF_Launcher.exe should be in the same path.
P.S. If you succeed on revive your CoH remember to back it up, to avoid in future to download 9GB again. And a piece of advice, if you have enough free space in your hdd and you don't want to burn it on dvds, you can select your steam back up to save for "10000 MB"(in custom) as I do, instead of having two parts of 4.5GB.

What I did was, I have COH from Steam, And I installed it in a newly made folder THQ/company of heroes e.t.c.
And it didn't work, So I copied everyone in the THQ folder and placed it in my Steam common folder and it worked. Try that if you have the Steam version.
