Am I correct that there are still unit limitations?

If you mean hard caps then yes. To my knowledge conscripts , LL Sherman and the ISU-152 are all capped I may be missing some.
Not positive on the 152.

Yeah they still are...if you are refering to call-in units. They are hard capped at 3. Its annoying because devs said they will not change existing factions in any matter...and this decision has hard impact on vanilla factions. F.e. i play as PE and i cant call fourth Hetzer because they are capped at 3...that sucks.

I dont think it was a mistake. Some Dev said that they have done it intentionally to not allow AI spamming the of-map units.

i agree the cap should be incresed or removed on off map units because most of them are under powered in small groups :( and one of the most powerful units of the game are non doctrinal basic units ie PE infantry

Heh, the capping's probs not a mistake, AI spamming as anouther user said.

Well, can they at least take the limit off of the calliopes? The AI only generally fires those off once from the arse end of the map and then runs it directly into my guns thereafter.
computer spamming of hummels and priests is a bit of a pain, if only because the cpu tends to just lock them down and then call in precision strikes on guys they can't see...

Calliopes are capped at two in vannila COH v2.601 so EF devs doesnt have anything with it.

It would appear that the soviet AI tends to spam partisans and katusha's ALOT

they spam because sometimes their production buildings are halted by a never finished production of an upgraded unit.(AI doesnt know how to cancel it) But Im tired of when they completely do nothing except call ins, sometimes not even that.

It makes sense now.
I fought it was an AI bug but if all 3 buildings will be blocked by upgrades than AI will only be able to use call-ins.
Tier blocking bug needs to be fixed.

No, blocking production in not the reason. It's old hard-coded bug made by Relic (even in vCoH if you play long enough (1,5-2 or more hours) AI starts to spam off-map units).

I did not see every building being blocked, but still, it would help it by reducing resources and making AI work better for the time.
Also Fallschirmjager is capped at 3
didnt use Storms so far.
Wirbel/wilber I dunno :-) is capped at 2

conscripts should not be capped. i miss the conscript spam. it wasn't like it was unbeatable, when i played as germans i never had any trouble slaughtering Russians by the dozen.
Katyushas should be capped, but at four or five, not three.
and as for the firebase..... its just sad. not only because it is capped at one, but because its so gosh-darned inaccurate. yesterday i was using it and i just deleted it, and instead made mortars.

Firebases= Waste of pop, fuel, and time. Its dosent help me at all and you can only get 1!

Yeah defiantly get rid of the cap on conscripts. The whole point of the Russians is the Red Horde. However, I don't agree with raising the cap on Katyushas.

Only time we'd get rid of hardcap for conscripts is when we give them the correct pop of 8 and a higher price tag....take your pick, no other inbetween choice ;D
US get 2 Calis, Soviets get 3 Katys...that's more than enough...its not like its your only arty choice

What about the cap on AB and rangers you guys put in? "Spamming" those units is par for the course for vCoH, AI or human.

Any hardcaps not part of vanila coh will be removed at some point, yeah
