Guys, why is everyone flipping out about micro transactions? They told us that the real life money spent is only to level up/gain items FASTER, not get a whole bunch of exclusive items that own everything and can only be obtained by buying. All players (as I've seen from Dev interview and Mod posts on forum) can access all items, but F2P guys get it slower. Plus, matchmaking is being improved, so you don't get owned by someone a higher rank/skill than you. I am sad that CoH:O doesn't have mods, but they said servers will stay up. I still have my disk ;)
Thoughts?

Well, until the time comes we'll know it... You know how started Battlefield Heroes and what has became...
-
wait whats Coh:O ?

Oh come on, it's been two days Akalonor. Do you not use the internet at all outside of these forums?
And Toxic, they never said servers will stay up. They only said servers would be maintained "For the forseeable future".
"For the forseeable future" means whatever Relic decides it means. Maybe 4 months is the forseeable future, maybe 4 years. I heard no promises of servers being maintained for as long as people are playing the game, or any reassurances that the server load will be handed off to a third party entity when Relic decides it no longer wishes to bear the burden.
Until then, I'm assuming that COH's servers will not even last a year from now.

I'm not gonna play on computer games that I have to pay for to play on. So I'll just have to see what happens.

With an around 9000 players logged into the Relic servers through CoH at any one time, I don't see them being abandoned anytime soon.

That clamed me down
