Title: How about ability to salvage munitions from seriously wounded enemy troops?
Post by: Foxfort on June 06, 2010, 03:39:45 PM
The enemy soldier is lying seriously wounded on the battlefield, your squad approach the wounded soldier and after you select option for salvage munition (that option should be separately from tank salvage for engineers ) and after 5. sec. you receive 5. munition and enemy soldier after that is dead.  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

actually you've got a point there.
Idk how you'd implement it as a mechanic but the logic is sound as it was fairly common for soldiers to loot enemy bodies for useful equipment+ammo+weapons if they were lacking in any of these.

hmm yep i like it.

I was thinking... A 'Salvage Body uprade' For Not full Rifle Conscripts.. A Unarmed Consript could salvage a body and gain a random light weapon [G43, KAR98k, MP40, Luger, Etc]

I was thinking that ability for munition salvage is for every side in game (USA,UK,GERMAN and Soviet) because in every war soldiers take trophy and ammo from heavy wounded/dead soldiers. Plus to set that every vehicle/armor in game will be immobilised when they health status is/or below 25%. And If good old "Sudden Strike" had option that when vehicle is immobilised
you can evacuate and save crew. Why not to try that option in CoH EF ???

In short add option for ammo salvage from heavy wounded enemy soldiers, after that wounded soldier will die and try to put option that when vehicle/armor health is/or below 25% they WILL be immobilised and that you can (If you want) evacuate crew.  ;)  ;)  ;)

doing this would chage the core gameplay of the game. Its something the dev's are trying to avoid.

Yup. But the game would be much better, because you don't control army size as in for ex. "Order of War" were one unit is not important, but in CoH you command a small army  (company strength). Every man is gold worth.
