Title: Application for a graphic artist
Post by: Radonesku on January 24, 2009, 12:46:29 PM
Good day or let it be so ;)
I'll get straight to the point.
The idea of creation of a Russian mod for CoH chased me even before the moment I bought CoH itself. That time I read a PC game magazine article describing that only Germans and Yankees are present in the game. "What the heck, what the lame WW2 without Eastern Front?!" - I thought.

And started to make models (I'm a professional 3D-modeller, by secret :P). However, pushing my hands in game code and stuff like that never was a pleasant spending of time for me - so my never finished and never published mod - "a Company of Comrades" - with time had got dozens of models and none game code.

And now when I found a really capable and organized modding team - I think we could take the bull by both horns

Some textured stuff:

Ok, this stuff really not very WW2-isch.. From my WW2 mod I have already made:
 - T-18
 - BT-7M
 - T-34
 - T-34-85
 - ISU-152 (+ ISU-122 + ISU-152-1)
 - IS-2
 - IS-3
 - SU-76M
 - T-70
 - T-80
 - BA-6\10
 - BA-64
 - King Tiger
 - Tiger (P) and Ferdinand
 - Renault FT-17
 - 7TP
 - La-7

Fuh.. that's all for now. I guess you also have plenty of same models that I did.. That's ok: let we compare models of both you and me and decide who made the best.
So if you agree - my skills and my work in your disposal :D
I do this solely for my love in WW2 Russian theme

PS: by the way if you're experiencing lack in Russian speaches - I could sue this role for too ;)

Not bad at all. I'd like to see some of your Russian WW2 stuff ;D

3D Studio Max 8 or 7. The Modding tools don't work in anything else.

Nothing from outer space.
3ds Max 2008 + Photoshop of any version

The model can be done in any *Super-mega-freackih'-3d-editor* - just don't forget in the end to export the model in 3ds and then to mount it with max 7\8 .

Maybe, as a bonus or easter eggs we can imply some "futuristic" ;D units. I mean IS-3, ISU-152-1, ISU-152 mod. 1945, KSP-76 and so on. It won't take more than a few extra hours to make - when the deal is fun I can make models like printer.

Thanks for your application. The thing is, we have already completed almost all of the models and skins for the soviets. We wouldnt really have anything to do for you right now. This might change though with the integration of the Ostheer. If it does, I will contact you again.
