Title: Maps.
Post by: Sonders on June 10, 2010, 02:48:25 PM
Been playing EF steady now for about a month. Some of these maps are awesome, like Berlin, Halbe, Seelow and others. I can see a lot of work went into them. I like to watch the replay and  close follow some of the unites, its awesome. Who ever made these maps, thanks. With my wide screen its like being in a cinema. I would say my favorite is Halbe. With the railroad tunnel then the high mountains and how it comes down to the river. Great map, some real creative thinking went into these maps.

Now I know some will say it interferes with micro. So what, it interferes with the other guys micro too. I just think there beautiful maps. I just wish at times I could zoom out a bit farther.

If halbe's the map I'm thinking of, I absolutely hate it. Is it the one with the massive hill to the right of the map? Once I called in a V1 on one of the enemy bases but it hit the hill where several of my units were and obliterated them...

rofl, now its crazy shit like that which makes COH so great. That map has two mountains, one on each side. train tracks in the middle going through a tunnel. then a little lower in the valley a stream with a few man bridges. i have some friends im bringing into EF, I hope to play that map with some good human players.
