I tried to use this several times and I see no advantages to it. It has great damage but its reload time is soooooo long! I noticed a german antitank crew has a better range.
So why do we need it for????

it is good to smake life to wh tanks and make life easier for t-34, but can't work alone

Sending it unsupported is suicide, even a Panzer IV circle-strafing it is enough to destroy it.

what is annoying it doesnt like shooting at targets that move after 1st shot, due to some part of aiming taking too long.
I wonder what kind of veterancy it will get including IS-2.
12,7 mm on the roof shouldnt be overlooked. Because if I remember right, SU-152 did not have the MG, but ISU-152 did.

I dont like it either. I prefer to make a massed charge of t-34s. ;D

The ISU is just as it was 65 years ago.
I do like it like that. It isnt op anymore, but still, it does MASSIVE damage. well supported, it acts like a moveable 88 in the background. - and its range is quite OK!
But well, since the first patch some ppl are complaining about its extreme limitations. Its very unflexible, yea. But also, there are guys around which like the guy with the biggest ***k in the game, just like that.
For all the others of you, maybe we will get a reward unit for the ISU soon ;D

It does come with the best armour type in the game and the most damaging gun....but as a slow turretless tank you need to have good support units to get the best out of it.
The heavy damage it does to Tigers/panthers/Jagdpanther si what makes it very valuable.
Send 3 T34s/SUs vs a jagdpanther/kT and you're likely to loose them all before they get the job done.
Send 1 ISU and 1 T34, and you're likely to walk out with both tanks alive after the job is done.

could you let us know about the bonuses it gets? (:-P) Is anywhere info about its basic stats? How to make it shoot even if its target moves? StuG had this problem before, because its aiming took too long, so if target was always on the move, StuG wouldnt even shoot? It feels too random

Thats true. I saw Tetrarchs kill a King Tiger on youtube (all 100% of KT HP was taken by a Tetrarch).
Same thing will happen with SU-152 vs a upgunned PE Hotchkiss.
Good thing Axis dont have M-10/M-18.
...SU-152 should aim-fire a litlle faster.

As I said we need to rename this SPG because people do not remember the word Zveroboy. "Beastslayer" is the best translation.

How about adding a short vechicle stun (1sec) to every Zveroboy shell? It was a 48kg (107lbs) shell so even if it did not penetrate enemy armor, german tankers would have blood in their ears becouse of the explosion.
The gun should aim quicker or have more range (50) becouse SU isnt a match even to a circle strafing Panther right now.

+1 it could be similar stun as White Phosphorus Rounds ability, or Vehicle Button ability, for short period like 2-3 seconds

Even taking into account its reload speed, five seconds is a tad too long. I agree with 2-3.

one time i was able to get two of them. my first got destroyed, i called in another one, and then i had two.
it was effective for a while, but it was so gosh darned hard to support. I wasnt willing to lose them. Then the game crashed.......

+1 to the idea of stun shells. Also, turret traversal speed needs slightly increasing. At the moment the thing is a huge waste of time unless you're using it against flak 88s, which get obliterated by it.

Waste of time? I just park it somewhere on my map to gaurd my flanks. Its quite helpful when the germans spam panthers. But I do like the idea of stun shells.

Yes, waste of time. The mp is better spent on 3 T-34s/2 IS-2s/3 SU-100s. Or even 5 TD squads. The thing is good but inefficient when 3 T-34s would do the job better.

It could use rate of fire increase as it gains veterancy. (you know the guy loading after so much work becomes stronger and loading becomes faster heh) 12,7 could come with 2nd vet.

the ISU152 needs to differentiate between HE and Ap rounds, both which existed for it.
the HE could smash off the turret of a tiger where the ap would go through it...different effects

In practice ISU152 carried full load of HE, not AP rounds as it was actually more effective, dual purpose and bacause the tank had too few rounds in storage to effectively split them between AP/HE.
In 1.2 ISU cost drops to 800 as does the Tiger/Pershing amking them all a bit more attractive ;)

ISU-152 was designated as "bunker killer", and it used mainly HE rounds... Even Against tanks....

ISU-152 is better suited for hit and run tactics in the game,i use it like that
here are the stats
stug- 2 hits puma -1 hit
panzer 4 -3 hits other light vehicles and light tanks like like the marder etc- 1 hit
panther - 4hits
hetzer- 2 hits
P.S : by the time the heavier tanks come in ull have support for the ISU-152
ISU-152 is not be used like an assault tank without support
without support u send it,take hits worth half its hp and send it back(by that time it manages to fire atleast twice)
& I simply love the ISU-152 due to its superb tank destroying capabilities....

Chance for a stun is something I thought about during the first beta for the ISU and the IS but....when really looking into it, this would be OP and not really something these tanks need.
No tank should be too good and able to stand on its own and be that effective.
The new price is more than enough to turn it into a cost effective unit.

Aside from bugs I though you guys wern't gonna change anything with the original factions?

With relic having stopped to produce patches for coh and not fixing bugs or imba as reported by the community experts, we agreed it was time we applied the necessary tweaks/Fixes.
We've made the changes proposed by the GR experts to relic, nothing more and nothing less. Its actually a fairly small list at that and makes for a more balanced gameplay.

It's phenomenal from an advertising PoV. GR players are now MUCH more likely to download the mod again and give it a go. With GR players comes competitive gameplay and the mod will thrive.

What's wrong with Zveroboy? I like it the way it is now :)
