I don't like the idea of them being a true AT weapon but I would like to see them have a very small chance to cause engine damage.

Even that NO. It will still ruin the game.

We toyed with that...it was OP. But if you thow a molotov to any vehicle, I suspect you'll still see damage. Saying that, I've seen Blitz nades do damage to vehicles and I was like WTF?

With out rags in flame. Simple, relatively safe.

Alternative - bunch of RGD-33

I'd like to see them be able to take out tanks like the Marder, Hummel and Elefant, but NO to normal AT.

How the hell would a molotov take out an elefant?

No to this, or engine damage. Not needed.

Molotovs would be thrown on engine decks to start fire and hopefully reach any leaking fuel/exhaust fume and spread a fire. It was quite effective. Also when thrown on hatches etc there was a chance the liquid flame would slip through any crack etc and cause the crew to bail out. Of course flames also hindered the already poor visibility of the tank crew.

We can't have that in coh as it would be OP. However if you do use a molotov on a tank it will cause damage to it  regardless of armour ;)

Non-significant damage. They are quite decent against halftracks and other light armour though which is fine.

I guess it makes sense to do that on the engine block. Seems strange for an elefant to be so vulnerable though.

I know the Fins knocked out Soviet tanks like that in the winter war (among other unconventional means). But I wouldn't want to see it in game, all sides have enough AT.

it isn't gonna happen. Ballance comes before realism. Thats what makes a game fun. In before lock.
