For the purposes of knowing when the main bulk of this community are online, and for help arranging tourneys/battle events, please state the closest timezone to your region. For fun, why not add any timezone related difficulties you've faced before.
I'm Australian, and it's a giant pain whenever some event happens in Europe/America.

Noone from Hawaii? :D
-
People in Hawaii are too busy being lepers and running away from lava to play CoH.
-
I just realised my poll is unfair. Nobody would actually admit to being from New Zealand :).
-
I almost clicked the Sheepshagger option out of instinct.
-
South Africa
The prev Ef tourney had a perfect time for me.
So no difficulties as of yet.

North American east coast, looks scary for me. All those Europeans and I don't know GMT :-\

GMT 0/1 - North africa

Same here, too many Euros, not enough Yankees!

Well when you do start the tournament, give me a link to a world time converter or something.
-
This whole thing with organising the tournament gives me images of GodlikeDennis sitting in a dark map room occasionally glancing up at a series of world clocks and muttering; "soon...soon".
-
Quick time converter, depending on where in the states you are:
East coast = GMT-5
Middle of the country = GMT-6
West Coast = GMT-7
(I think, for exact divisions, wikipedia is your friend.)
Your other option would be to learn/work using GMT (as most of the world does by now :P )
Cheers

Not my fault that America has a crappy school system ;D

True that Seeme :P

I loled hard, thank you.
Many of the timezones are listed here. As an East Coast American Seeme, you are in the GMT -5 timezone which means you are 5 hours behind England. So if I say to start the tourney at 12 midday on Saturday GMT, you would be 5 hours before that, at 7am. However, I can't account for daylight savings for every country but I'll try to arrange a countdown timer for everyone.

Sounds great, looking forward to it.
-
The only real place is Minnesota. I mean, winter all year round!

Oh sweet what part of NZ are you from. I'm in Wellington (obviously not christchurch or else I'd probably have no power after the earthquake)
