Title: Do I need patch 1.2 full version
Post by: ArnoldVDH on September 02, 2010, 12:21:04 PM
Hi Everyone,

I just moved country and don't have Internet at home yet. So that means although I have the original Eastern Front and of course Company of Heroes (2.601) I can't install the new full version of EF.

I have tried to do it at work using Download Accelerator Plus but at some point close to the finish it says Code 410 - Gone (an Internet page activated).

There is however a patch 1.2 which is only 88MB big. Now obviously this is not as big as the full version which is about 640MB big.

I am therefore assuming the 640MB includes everything before version 1.2 and of course 1.2 it self.

The 88MB is just version 1.2.

Am I correct? Thus if I install the 88MB file size will I have exactly the same as those that have installed the 640MB file size.

The 88mb is a patch, 640mb is a full. Patch is for 1.1.1.1 to 1.2.0.0, full is any version to 1.2.0.0.

Do I therefore assume correctly that if I install every patch up to 1.2.3.2 I don't actually need 1.2 full?

I can just install the 88MB file.

Thank you.

Don't use the auto installer in the launcher though as it skips one of the updates and doesn't work properly. Manually download the 1.11 - 1.2 patch from the site.
