Title: shortcut issue
Post by: Dentros on October 03, 2010, 07:31:04 AM
I have been playing the mod for a while, no problems, go to play today, and my shortcut is telling me "eastern front mod does not appear to be installed on your system. Try reinstalling Eastern front to continue."
So, if I go in and check my path location, everything is still good, the odd thing is if I go into "settings" turn off auto update and just run the game its fine.  So the shortcut still sees the game when I actually launch, but when it tries to check for updates it can't find it.

Looks like Missing registry entries, I'm short of time atm so I let Bishop tell you the details.

I guess you have 1.20, if not try here (http://www.moddb.com/mods/coheastern-front/downloads/eastern-front-120-full1).

You can update from here 1.2.1.0 then 1.2.20 and so on up to 1.2.3.2.

About your error, do you have steam or retail CoH?

I dont think im out of date on the updates, I put them all in about 3 weeks ago when i reinstalled everything.  i think it updated 6-7 times in a row when i ran it.  I have steam.  Like I said before, everything worked 2-3 days ago, I didn't change anything, and the game still works if I skip the auto update.  I have maps in, but i did that over a week ago, and everything ran great.  maybe my registry cleaner did something I don't know about, but i dont usually run that program on that specific hard drive
