I thinking that it might be a good idea from one of the staff members here to be put in charge of the replays section here to promote and provide new replays
People come here watch replays of the Russians and there is nothing here recent to watch.
I want to learn how to play the Russians better but there is none.
My 2 cents
-
Russians are incredibly OP (snipers) this patch. No one wants to play against them because the game will be unfair.

Then play as the Soviets... ;)
-
It's not all that bad, it's just that Chancellor seems to be obsessed with Wehrmaht.
Anyways, you can reach some agreement with your counterpart, i.e. no more than 2 sniper units per side at a time.
That would be better than just saying "Oh! I'm so pissed! F.ck the soviets, and you all, who thinks differently!" ;D ;D ;D
(The previous sentence is a joke, of course)

I do have games as the Soviets. But they just end up to be stomps. No fun there.
-
Better than nothing though, innit?

What do you mean by 'stomps'?

Perhaps the opponent quits :-\.
-
Stomp means the game isn't close. One side beats the crap out of the other side, and there's no considerable resistance / actual fighting that make a replay worth watching.
-
Chancellor, how about a, ehum, handicap system? What you think?
-
Well if 1 side is going to steamroll the enemy with little challenge, that's all the more reason to post a replay! It'll help the developers with balancing, won't it?
-
Yeah, what Pariah said. Even a bad replay can help us. You can always put in a disclaimer 'Soviets Abusing [enter abused unit]. Kindly Fix'...
Chancellor, how about a, ehum, handicap system? What you think?
Doesn't that defeat the point of balancing? :P
-
Well, the A.I. players are already handicapped, aren't they? ;)
-
Yeah they are, but we're more interested in PvP balance. I don't know what kind of Handicap system Rizz has in mind.
-
Figured something like, ehum.. maybe... Player 1 takes units take 5-10% more damage, and deals 5-10% less damage then over Player 2.
-
No... I really can't see how any kind of handicap system is a good idea, even for A.I. players.
-
Speaking of damage %, do the Soviet weapons suffer around 25% damage against elite armor like the Western Allied ones do? Here's the chart for the Western Allied weapons against gren elite armor. (look near the bottom)

Same issue with KCH heroic armor. The new coming Relic patch made the Western Allied weapons suffer around a 22% penalty. Will this be implemented for Soviet weapons too?
-
But then how do you want to deduce anything related to balancing from such replays? Other handicap systems I've seen give the possibility to give one side a resource advantage.
However, is it really worth the hassle? How often do you know what kind of handicap someone needs to be equal to someone else?
