need some tips and tatics

blob 3-4 squads, kill every vehicle in sight (use AT 'nades), if your enemy uses vehicles to claim sectors, you may want to lay some AT mines near the checkpoints (those mines are actually good to cover flanks of ZiS guns and other emplacements as well) meanwhile don't walk into mgs or enemy infantry blobs, and don't take any heavily entrenched positions, since those are quite likely to attract incinerating mortar barrage.
Also, important to remember, that squads, already deployed on the field do benefit from the global upgrade (second PTRD) as well, as the new ones.
-
Tank Hunters are cheaper Rangers (without SMGs). They can do anything but also arent really good at anything. Together with Command Squad they can even fire-up (Charge).
3-4 squads can take out a Puma (same MP cost) as fast as 3-4 Pumas can take out a single squad. :P
AT nades are also great for destroying bunkers and decrewed AT guns that you dont want to recapture.
Remember that double PTRD upgrade from armory dosnt affect units that are allready build and reduces youre firepower vs infantry.

Wrong. Upgrade does affect units on the field. Everything else is spot on though.
THs don't have the greatest attack damage but they are flexible, easily blobbed and surprisingly resilient. Their abilities are what make them good, so make use of nades, ambush and mines as much as you can.

Actually, it does affect the squads on the field.
Also this is the same with red banner strelky now where the upgrade applies to the squads in the field! You just don't see the red flag until the old squad reinforces I think.
Try building a strelky squad, then do the red banner research and you'll see that they get the option to upgrade their weapons!
Tank hunters now have a pop8, so making alot of them will quickly reach the pop limit unless your other squads are just conscripts(which are likely to change next patch)
AT gun is far more viable now and you should use it alot

That's what I wrote?

Correct me, if I'm wrong here, but the upgrade doesn't give the abilities (hold\march) to the squads already in the field, just the ability to purchase weapons.

TH receive upgrade from Armory. ;)

That's correct.

What happens is that some time in the past(honestly i don't remember when this changed), Red Banner Strelky were a eight man squad(7 regulars + flag carrier). But now, from those seven soldiers one gives up his rifle for a flag; and the upgrade applies to the squads in the field but just give them the weapons option.

oups...now why did I think I saw a 'not' there lol? Ahhh well, my bad. The abilities are part of the red banner which doesn't automatically apear on the squads already on the field yes...but I believe if you lost men and reinforce, then one of them gets the banner...I think

Nope, no ability gain by the men in the field whatsoever.

aww well...its the guns taht really count to be fair...and the long standing complaint about previous vetted strelky not getting them before the red banner research :P
