Probably going to get shot down in flames but how about replacing the recon section upgrade of the RMC infantry section with flamthrower upgrade, since they are assault orientated it would make sense, you could increase the munitions upgrade from 50 to 75 or even 100 and still make them have the armor decrease. I mean there's no point in recon element for the squad anymore is there?
-
Nope, RMC won't have access to flamethrower upgrade for marine sections, in the same way than normal brits don't have access to them or towed weapons.
However, we have the idea to include the WASP as an optional upgrade for the Bren Carrier... but as we lack of that model, that idea is on stand by.
-
I see, it's probably be a better idea than the one I suggested. I hope you find a model for it!

I still want proper British infantrymen with Sten smgs :C

Get commandos then. ::)

Nooo, they got this silenced stens so it sounds like a freaking Flute orchestra going solo when they come storming XD I want the brute almost crispy sound. Like the mp40´s :D
-
Why do you want stens? Use thompsons instead :P
-
As I recall the SAS loved the Tommyguns they were issued, and didn't really like the Sten because it wasn't quite as accurate nor was it quite as well made. Use the Commandoes for Stens, or if you are feeling ballsy make your 3 Leftenants and use them behind cover with rifles on the side. Your Stens and Rifles at work 8)
-
I believe the sten was actually more accurate, than thompsons. thompson shot the big .45!

Actually, I read otherwise... A lot of the people who used it were worried about whether the damn thing would jam or not... if it was that good why did the SAS raiders use tompsons? ???

Smaller caliber generally means more accurate firing, due to obvious reasons (general physics steps in). This, however, has nothing to do with reliability, what jamming resistance is a part of: would you prefer a rather accurate gun, that is inclined to jamming, or a bit less accurate, but a highly reliable one? Bear in mind, that every time your gun jams may become the last time for you.

Thanks for the heads up :)
-
Well ya, the SAS, Commandoes, etc. all got priority for more reliable or more expensive weapons. They loved Tommyguns for reliability, high stopping power and the feel of the weapon. The Sten was a crude piece of crap, and many hated its look, at least the Mk2 which was made under crappy ass conditions. The only thing i would ever give to the Radiers other than a Tommygun would be a De Lisle carbine. But even that would suit the Commandos more.

From what I know the Sten was lighter but harder to grip, and the side-mounted magazine made it lean. Also it had a thin, metal buttstock compared to the M1A1's wood stock. The Sten's front sight post was wider than the Thompson's. And it had a crappier sling. Also the Thompson is a lot more powerful. One good thing about the Sten's side-mounted magazine was that it had a lower profile and could be fired from lower down, but I don't know whether that turned out to be a particularly useful trait.

how about the scout section costs 100 munitions and the scoped riflemen isnt an ability but an actual sharpshooter? and you could only have 1 upgraded squad at a time?

I'm not taking sides, I'm just guessing what the devs will say:
NO!
1) Balance issues - Wow, infantry sections ... are uber!!! (rapes PE infantry! Come on they come in groups of 3 they don't need anotherb handicap)
2) wow that's too cheap (The price of the upgrade)
3) "The Brits don't need it"
4) No changes to vanilla factions... since they already have recon section :(
-
Seeming as were on the subject of the RMC I'm hoping to see the Staghound replaced by the Daimler Armoured Car.
Much more British ;D

How about a British individual dedicated sniper with Lee Enfield no.4 mk1 (t) with camoflage ability and hold fire, could be deployed from commando HQ's glider with the other support weapons i.e. HMG squad, PIAT team, Mortar team. I have seen the individual commando sniper in the campaign, i believe it was on Tiger Ace in Villers-bocage and was shocked when its not in the skirmish game mode with the royal commandos...
