Title: New film
Post by: Dzierzan on May 11, 2011, 09:21:18 PM
Damn you guys. This film is great.

In video we can see Germans, is it ostheer? Because for me, this squad looks like landser - 5 soldiers + feldwebel but they are using gewehr 43 and mp40 so i guess no.

Anyway i'm looking forward to see more videos >:D.

Hahahah poor Ivan, running into a tree like that, while on fire.

How did they get the MG on the truck, or any of the special animations for that matter.

But looks great ;D.

And I don't think it's finish here  ;)

Thread cleaned up.

War is war...shit happens...shit like this and of course far worse did happen and if you're offended by an game animation you have issues. I can't imagine what issues you'd have watching a war film where its actually realistic looking....it's like taking MW2/WaW or medal of honour seriously and think there is anything more to them than a shoot'em up game lol

All that is of course irrelevant.
This is an excellent cool piece of animation with quality to rival relic's cut scenes. Great cinematography and props to the guy!

Please avoid trying to give 'morality lessons' to each other...it is a GAME. That's a simple concept to understand. Next time we see people derailing simple threads and turning them into crazy flame wars about history and morality, we'll give out Warnings.

if you fail to understand how you should behave after that, we'll start handing out bans.

So keep it nice, friendly, simple...keep it real!

Cheers

Wait what? I was just wondering how he got those animations in the game in the first place.

WorldBuilder. ;)

WorldBuilder. ;)
Correct. There is something called the NIS tool (Non Interactive Sequence) where you can create own movies with own animations on own maps. It's pretty difficult to understand and to handle.

This is a great example of Company Of Heroes machinima done right:
Company of Heroes: Moudon - Just a little teaser (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6FrJSLO1DQ#ws)
Man i would so love to be able to make something like that 1 day...

Bundled nade was a waste of munitions :P.

Pretty well done movie. Should get this guy to do your cinematics when you move on to campaigns eventually.

Yeah if you could find someone willing to make one, these would be a great way of advertising the next patch. Or say for when the Ost get their release...

No idea how to work the NIS, but I assume it would have been easy enough to place down a Vickers on the ZiS using world builder.

It's really easy. It's just the same as to work with the worldbuilder. The controls are the same you can change the height of objects easily.

Hey.. i made this video, glad you like it.

However, it would be interesting to create a movie with units never seen in the game .. if there is a way giving the files of the upcoming patch.

If not then i will continue to work on my current video

Greetings

Thank you for your really nice work!

Could you tell us something about the new video? Maybe it is located on an EF map?

That's the second sneakiest way I've seen someone use, to try and get access to our beta lol!

If you are indeed the one who made the vid, you'll still have to wait for what becomes publicly available.

Hopefully it will worth the wait ;).

Well .. I dont' play CoH anymore at this time so i am not interested in playing beta.
It was just an offer to show a video when ost get their release or something, what luz777 asked..

Thank you for your really nice work!

It will be BotB-based .. so no Eastern Fronts

Actually...when we were agreed for the ArX clan guys to join the beta before v1.00 release, we asked them to come to the forum and post in the 'application section' their names to get access. A random guy then added his name saying 'hey guys you almost forgot me! that ain't cool'....or something to that effect. We thought he was part of ArX and added him lol! Credit to the guy for pulling it off  ;D

His name was madcatsden

Deception is a pretty bad crime in my book. Unless their claim to have been left out was sarcasm, but it didn't look like it...
