Not gonna happen. The Eastern Front team has yet to change any feature to the original company of heroes except for bugs, glitches, and balance changes that are considered by multiple experts or being implemented in the next patch.

No for the reasons mentioned by @Cranialwizard and also because CoH chat is not made to support that, similar to Steam messenger client.
