Title: Since 1.4: 503 site errors and sluggish speed

Since the 1.4 patch, I've noticed some 503 errors when trying to access the site sometimes, forcing you to reload until it comes up.

Furthermore, site performance has really suffered. It's not my internet, as I'm accessing other sites with ease. Is there an explanation for this? Even when everyone was getting the patch it wasn't this slow.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I'm having the same problems. It's probably because of so many people trying to get on for the patch.

I think the site is also tied to the launcher auto-update feature. Think how many people play EF and have this turned on, as well as visit the site... Just too much for the server to handle apparently.

Whenever we release an update, thousands of people will try to download it at once. The update is on the same server as this forum, the server is getting a huge amount of requests and response times get longer and longer until your browser takes it for granted that the server is not responding at all.
This is not specific to V1.4 but happens every time we release a major patch ;).
