Title: Possible Doctrinal base buildings?

I have no idea if it is sensible or not, but could an extra base building possibly be contructed as an "espionage" base for the russian urban or propaganda doctrines?

By this I mean a building that only constructs:

snipers-with the current requirements

spies-single man squads that are able to camoflage and booby trap points but have virtually no health and cost a bit less than snipers.

Recon units-even lighter, unarmed, vehicles than the kattenkrad that can only be used to enhance the players view or mark targets (much like the shwimmwagens luftwaffe ability)

Intellegence commander-A non camoflaged unit that can call in local militia, much like the soviets conscripts only a reinforcement type unit. Also, the mere presence of the commander near the espionage troops cuts down their recharge on the abilities that they may posess (In much the same way as the PE's munitions halftrack).



It's just a suggestion and i am aware that the developers do not really have time to explore these endeavors. I was merely wondering if the idea of a doctrinal base building is feasable or not.

I personally think it would be quite cool to have soviet recon unit, but devs and community is sure that SU is nearly 100% complete and they won't agree. At least I guess so :)

Getting a doctrine to build a structure to build units? Thats a lot of time wasted.
Doctrines should be chosen when you need a certain ability/unit that your army lacks.
Also, sneaky camo and recon units dont fit the Soviet army.

I almost thought that aswell, but then there's the sniper ace and also the camo partisans right? Why not have it as an add on to these. Or just have the building instantly available after the selection of the doctrine and not as one of the doctrines unlocks?

hah thats what everyone thinks I used to think that too, but since joining the dev team i've realised that there is always things being changed, and added. a very liberal modding team anything is possible :)

IMO with the final retail patch being released this is when more changes than ever will occur because we're basically the only ones that can make changes now to the game. and the game is still in need of changes and balances dumb relic :P
