I always seem to struggle as the PE as i can only realy use the 2nd starter building (forgotten it's name :-\ ) and even then i only use it to boost the repair and cap rate.
I was wondering how i could effectively use the logistiks company to start as the tactic i use currently use does not seem to work very well and collapses as soon as my opponent breaks through.
And would it be more worth it to spam out the sector locking ability of the scout car or use munitions on upgrading Panzer Grenadiers?

With standard resources, the Logistik Kompanie should be your first building. Kampfgruppe Kompanie as a starting building is only feasible with high resources, because the Halftracks are so expensive.
My preferred start is this: Build a Logistik Kompanie and a second Panzer Grenadier squad. Upgrade 1 of your squads with Gewehr 43s. Build a Scoutcar or 2. Upgrade them to lock them down if you like. Your first upgrade should be Increased Squad Sizes, and your second should be Defensive Operations. After that, i try to be more flexible, and see what the enemy does.

I start to build the first building after 4 Panzergrenadier squads (the fourth builds).
At the begin of the game you need cap power and impact power against allied infantry.
Usually I choose between Logistik or Kampfgruppe Kompanie at the last moment, because my objective is Panzerjager Kommand for fast ACs and Marder III.
Looking ahead in the game I can choose to build both, it depends to what I need for fight.

i never play as PE without logistiks

I send the Kret out to immediatly start capping, whislt I build a Logistiks then build about 4 more Pgrens, 2 G43s when I can. I then upgrade them using Extra Squad Size and move on to Kampf. You should build Kampf if you are unsure of what your enemy is doing because you can just upgrade to Shrecks (Provided you get the upgrade)
The main reason you want to go T1 first is because the units do not cost a lot of fuel, which T2 does.
Scout cars are not very powerful but are good for lockdowns, depending on how well I am doing I might buy one to lock down that +16 fuel for a fast tech. The cool thing about that is if you keep your car alive later you can just move it to lock down an ammo when you need more ammo for income. If it vets, always go defensive, it'll normally just be sitting at a spare sector. To me the other T1 units aren't very effective as Defensive Operations essentially fulfills the role of a Muni HT if you upgrade a foward barracks. The Vampire is defenseless but could be useful if you know how to use it well.
If you are seeing BARs or primarily infantry then I skip T2 (but ALWAYS go back to rebuild it, you need shreck upgrade for panthers) and go PanzerJager for some MP44s (They come without an upgrade :D) and some ACs. Normally I get a Marder III too, just in case.
(Remember when it comes to T3 it's either 360 MP or 75 ammo on regular Pgrens for MP44. I always like the options that PE gives when it comes to squad upgrades)
T4 is completely optional to me, I only build it if I want panthers. ATHT's are nice to clean up Marder Massacres. They work good in teams too, You break the treads and then a marder cleans up.
Panzer IVs are OK, good against inf and emplacements and nice to have but worthless against tanks. In Rapidfire mode these babys own rangers...if you have armor skirts that is.

Oh right, i totally forgot you start with a Kettenkrad! :-[ (Proves how long it's been since i've played... :'()
So yeah, send your weird little vehicle thingy to go cap, and then use your Panzer Grenadiers to build a Logistik Kompanie.

Same here. My micro isnt good enough to keep the mortar halftrack and 3 man squads alive while capping at the same time.
I just spam 4-5 PGs and then build T-1, 4-man upgrade, T-3 and upgrade most of them with MP44. If theres a fuel shortage I can consider not building 2 Marders (at least) and getting Shrecks instead but beating PG blobs is quite easy.
2.602 patch made munitions halftrack more usefull. Now it can reinforce (and place mines). Im not saing it will win you a game but its usefull and costs no fuel.
-
What exactly is the point of it being able to reinforce? Infantry Halftracks already fulfil that role! ???

It does, unless you didnt build T2. T2+IHT=40Fuel.
-
in standerd conditions i build about 4 panzer grenadier squads and wait till my fuel reaches abut 60-70 then build kamfgruppe kompanie with 1 or two inf halftracks. then do whatever.
-
Inf halftracks have a nice suppression rate with some inf packed in there :D
-
- I normally consider a 2Ket,2PG build against Sovs and Commonwealth, and a 4-5PG build vs Amis.
- T2/HT/T3 vs Brits, T1/2SC/Sqd_size/T3 vs Sovs.
- I prioritize incendiaries above Gr43s/Defensive Ops.
- 3m PGs support SCs/HT.
- I use Kets as primary cappers one per flank. If the map is Ket friendly (Hinderdam), I'll play decap cat n' mouse.
- I use strictly defensive vet for SC/HT.
-
I build 4 PGs at start, 4th builds either T1 or 2 depending what strat I'm going. If it's T1, first upgrade is ALWAYS 4 man squads. You can't live without it, especially against Soviets. I don't really make use of scout cars. I use T1 as a stepping stone for 4 man MP44 squads and ACs.

Muni HT did reinforce as of 2.602. It doesn't seem to work in v1.4.0 though

:O!!! Perhaps bug at sight... going to check it.

I like making traps with the logistik kompanie and prevent the enemy from taking my territory. Some mines, goliaths and a vampire hidden in the sector and every enemy is welcome.
-
I always play with logistiks. I tryed going early T2 but it just fell apart too easy. getting increase squad size has helped my early game alot better.
-
Does it depend on what enemy u have?
-
Against Soviets I almost always go 4 man squads. Against Brits I usually go MHT. US I go for AC/ATHT.
