Could it be possible to have a mode in which only infantry can be recruited, because I really like watching gunfights betweens infantry squads only to have it ruined by an armoured car or tanks come in and blow all my men away. Sometimes its just more fun with only infantry fighting.

I could see the PE having a massive advantage in this game mode all they would need is the HQ and a jaeger - command building (i think thats it) and the luftwaffe doctrine :o

For 1 thing, they would have no starting unit, so they would have to build a unit in order to start capping. Plus their capping rate would be super-slow, so they would essentially lose right at the beginning. Not to mention that some doctrines would become useless, as you alluded to. It's just a really bad idea to disallow vehicles.

Quiet intersting idea but it would require some changes of some factions to keep it balanced. I mean the panzer elites strenght are there special developed vehicles/tanks for example Panzer IV Infantry support tank or the marder III. The Panzer IV is focused on killing infantry but really only infantry light vehicles also but not much :P. Same for the marder III it has a pure AT role and can do nothing against infantry even flamethrower can destroy a marder .

That's a fair point, PE would lose out hugely. But what if I just didn't play as PE and chose Wehrmacht instead. So then the matchings would be a combination of British, American and Soviet against Wehrmacht?

That really doesn't matter; Any mode shouldn't leave any particular faction at a disadvantage.

The game isn't balanced for this but there's nothing stopping you playing with someone else who agrees to do infantry only.

tbh I dunno it just does for me, I'm a special PE player who works better with the infantry than the tanks :P

I find that interesting, but how about leave a few vehicles in, like jeeps and etc. Maybe make the game allow light armored vehicles?
That would also solve the Schwim issue.

cause everytime I play as them the have it out first thats how they always have a good few territorries at start of the game and sh*t i just realised that this is about an infantry only GAME MODE and not infantry only rules in a basic game sorry guys, been having girl troubles lately and not been sleeping alot during the past week so not thinking straight and being a bit of a dumbass ::)

Personally, I'd love an Infantry Only game mode.
I'm a huge fan of Infantry and like stated above, I hate when I am having an awesome infantry fight and a tank comes along and ruins the entire thing.
I'll settle for asking a player to agree to a infantry only game though.

As long as your able to see the driver of the vehicle it should be allowed :P.

Anyway, i really don't see the point in discussing this. An infantry-only mode sounds like a job for another mod team. ;)

But how would Marders and G-wagons and such be treated? No tanks for them to blow up and they'd be rendered ueseless.

They'd be good for base/hardened defenses destruction. But you would have A-T guns for that, anyway.

This is my first mod, taken me about 3 months to complete with the fantastic help of the community here.
Basically I really wanted to make an infantry mod that did more than simply removing tanks. My main focus was on game-play, textures haven't been changed although I have made a couple and maybe I'll put some in version 2 if it gets that far.
I've added new units, abilities, 2 commander trees per team, upgrades and ui icons and removed almost all the the armoured vehicles and tanks; but not quite. I've created factions for axis and allies, which both have the same basic unit list with the variation in the commander trees and abilities.
Commander structure is now more important, I've added sergeants and lieutenants to both teams that give players that use them correctly a big advantage.
List of units (same for both teams):
Light infantry
Regular infantry
Heavy infantry
Paratroopers/Fallschirmjagers
Mg squad
Mortar squad
Sniper
Engineers/Pioneers
Staff sergeant/Feldwebel (+ Fallschirmjager Feldwebel)
Lieutenant/Lieutnant
Medic
Jeep/Motorcycle
Halftracks
Logistics trucks/halftracks
Sherman/PanzerIV
Works in Skirmish and multi-player.
Beware the installer includes the module files, so if you have other mods you don't want to mess up e.t.c. then either back up your module files or install this into a different directory and copy it in manually.

The Sovs dont have any at start units!
Sounds like were talking about an WWI mod with an August 1914 start.
