I wish I had a replay to show you but Im a fan of Sim city strategy and considering Cottbus has two narrow lanes to go through (using Defensive Doc), if im thinking of the right map, this might be the way to go while your friend mounts an offensive. Some people might call me a noob for using sim city but I enjoy it so who cares. I dont know what the different bonuses are for each faction, sorry.

it s not that hard in fact, me and my brother crush 2 hard AI in about 3o min. in any map, just don t let him to take points on the map and you ll beat him :-)

Cottbus is about my favorite map. Try this approach:
Wherm: Combat support strat with MGs coupled with T1/T3 Blitz Strat for early Stugs/Pumas. Support your buddy's SCs with MGS and pioniere repairs.
PE: T1/T2 or T1/T3 Strats; Initial build Ket/PG/SC/SC/increased squad size. Initially use your two kets to capture the 5 points in the middle section of the map. Use PG to support SCs. Micro SCs hard to drive back Sovs and cap. If NI spam occurs go T2 for MHTs.
Doctrinal Suggestion:

Cottbus is the type of map style I lump together with bridge maps (which I loathe with a passion) however, I decided to send you a clunky replay. It is not my best and it is certainly not what Id recommend you do in pvp nevertheless it is an EXAMPLE.

Note that if it were high resource I would have finished it faster OK?

If you ever want to know how to be 2 expert Comps with a hard Comp Ally on Vire River Valley in 12 or 15 minutes (I cant remember which) using PE I have a replay of that

Don“t play against comp play against player. If you train your 1vs1 skills comp should be much easier for you

Thank u guys! i will watch the replay and try out Otto's advices. ill let u know how it worked.

DrRockzo1986:sure. its always fun to watch 2 Expert Comps going down ;)
Killar:actually a 3rd friend of us playd with the COMP against us. with normal CPU we beat them easly, but with hard it was impossible. the different seemed to be so big it just tilted me...

It's not "strategy" to block off 2 extremely narrow chokepoints against an incredibly stupid enemy. Crap map, crap gametype.

Are you referring to me? What's wrong with annihilate, I would have done exactly the same thing VPs or no VPs. And in case you didn't realise...

Cottbus is the type of map style I lump together with bridge maps (which I loathe with a passion).

EFkv10, why are u thanking DrRockzo1986 when it was ME that sent you that replay :)

No Paladin, I was directing that to Rocky. Crap map = cottbus, crap gametype = compstomp.

:) Sorry, I must have lost something in the translation somewhere :D I'm glad that's cleared up...

Still no one can really deny the only strategy required against the bots is to camp around the middle (which is a choke-point) not exactly cool is it?

Doctrinal Suggestion:
  • AT doctrine: Go with 2HT/Shrek raids on Sov bases.
  • LW doctrine: Deep decapping operations with Funkwagon use in mind.
  • SE doctrine: LHS, Decap and boobytrap VPs.

Why are you building 2x scout cars and researching increase squad size? unless you are gonna spam Panzergens early game researching increase squad size is a waste of resources that early in the game.

Lol really I dont remeber saying anything about Compstomping on Cottbus, its not my thread. If you dont like it take it up with EFkv10. He wanted to know how to beat hard comps with a friend so I told him how I would. You sound like you could stand to spend less time being an Ahole and more time minding your own business ;D.

Post Merge: June 28, 2011, 03:03:36 PM
Im sorry I didnt mean to call you an Ahole but seriously how I play and on which maps is really nobodys business but mine.

When you post about it, it becomes other people's business.

as DrRockzo1986 wrote we were talking about an another replay. and i already thanked you for the vid and Otto for the advices.
sorry if it was misleading;)

what i have learnt from you vid: u have to build those bunkers. a singel MG is not enough in the beginning...after one has the oil in the middle the rest is piece of cake;)

next map is grodno. if we have difficulties ill come again to beg for rec;)

Guys, I have news for you. v1.4.0 Cottbus has three choke points now not two. 2 SC's with Wherm MG and pioniere support allows good capping and offensive capability until the MP44s roll out.

Haven't had the chance to watch the Replay but I will.

BTW Versedhorison SCs are a good trade-off when the Sharpshooters roll out.
