Historically, the Central Station of Stalingrad was a scene of intense fighting, changing hands at least 14 times during the 5 months the battle raged, at one point it changed hands 4 times in a single day.
This map is loosely based on the campaign level from Call of Duty 2 of the same name.
It's still a WIP, I have some OOB stuff to shove down and some extra detailing to do, but it should be ready tomorrow ;D

To install, place the SGA in the 'company of heroes\Eastern_Front\Archives' directory
Open the Eastern_Front module file in notepad (find it in the root CoH directory)
Where you see the line [data:common:01]
, add to the bottom of the list underneath it - archive.27 = Eastern_Front\Archives\4p_railroad_station_one.sga
... replace '27' with whatever the next number is in the sequence.
Save the module file and play!

sure you need to create a .options file but I think Mystic-Car can do this as the Head Mapper :P. If you want a example unzip the .options file of Leningrad.

Just some fog, really. It's sometimes quite annoying seeing loads of snow falling down in front of your ingame cam. I'd like some variety in winter maps, everyone who does them things "hell yeah, there has to be snow, otherwise it's not complete". You know what I mean.

I just think snow would be better on this map, because it helps the feeling that it is, indeed, a shithole.

Map is done... it has been for a few days, just didn't get round to packing an SGA :P
One problem... for whatever reason, the Victory Point ticker doesn't budge at all... I was hoping somebody might be able to take a look and fix/reupload as I'm going to be away for a few days and don't have time to look into the problem myself.

Don't think so, I used the Victory Point at the bottom of the Gameplay list. They only stopped working when I packed the SGA.

One file has the wrong filename...
It should be called "4p_railroad_station_one_ID.scar" instead of "4p_railroad_station_one.scar" ;-)

In order to play, just place the file in C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\WW2\Scenarios

I did it different, the normal way. Burro included the Map in the EF folder and .module file to be loaded.
Nothing special to add then. Mine is also playable with vCOH then, otherwise just with EF ;)

somehow the map isnt displayed ingame. I downloaded your link.
Sadly the mapper of the old stlaingrad map put so much work in it. If he focused more on the gameplay that map would be awesome. I hope parts of it can be used in the campaign.

It would be an honour to do so. If you have any concrete wishes for me of how to put the two additional HQs or any other stuff that you want me to do, just tell me in a PM.

I took a closer look at Railroad Station One again. The map looks perfect, everything fits. The Action Marker placement is just great and I think it hits the Stalingrad atmosphere best.
Furthermore, I don't think that it should be made 3v3, it has just the perfect size for a good and balanced 2v2.

Sure, why not. I think though that Burro has deserved a place rather than me because I'm neither a balancer nor did I do this map plus Dennis deserves a better player at his side than me :P

but can you take a look at the sectors? ai has mass problems to capture pionts. this must be fixed
human players has no real problem
but the ai starts capping and stops. starts and stops... its a bit funny the need ~3min to capture a vp :D

I had to move several points a little to make the AI act better and make the Soviets able to build outposts on them (one point was surrounded by wooden benches, I had to move them to the side) and the middle VP was blocked by brick rubble.
Additionally, I made the stairs to the train station in the middle walkable and adjusted the position of the arnhem_posts, because they blocked a big area in front of the stairs (now they just take space of 1*1.

I would like to see if this map as a 3v3, but only if it works well.
I think there are some problems I encountered when testing that for some reasons didn't save when I editied the map last. Some of the objects should be moved to enable better pathing like the walls and large rail crash in the centre right being removed and maybe a few carriages being exchanged for flat-beds to provide heavy cover.
Also, if you feel the resources need moved around feel free to reorganise them.
I'm still away (visiting family again) so you'll have to test without me.

Why don't we make a list of available times. I'm pretty flexible so I won't put mine down until I know other people's. (I'm practically available 24/7 but I'd prefer if games weren't at 4AM or 10AM-2PM but I can totally play then.)

Good addition to the 2vs2 map pack. To make it 3vs3 its a bit too little and to make it 2vs2 its a little to big, so ...
There is more Stalingrad feeling and gameplay than on the actual Stalingrad map. I would keep the old map but rename Railroad Station one into "Stalingrad Railroad station"

Can you clear the entrance to the hall? Vehicles have a hard work to get through (especially hard for PE). My panthers got killed because they couldnt move.
The crater to the left might be removed too.

There can actually drive vehicles through. Very irritating for the comp. If you made it a bit more narrow only Infantry can enter it. Like it was intended i think.

because it would change too much of the maps structure and it isn't necessary for gameplay.

Can someone post an up to date tacmap please? I think a +5FU needs to be close to the bases on each side otherwise it's too US/Sov favoured because of harassment ability.

No, that would scratch to much on the maps design. The tower belongs to the train station, I could replace the big building by a second tower though.

There is already a +5 fuel point next to both teams bases.

Maxi has my permission to change whatever the map needs to make it better, although I would like to keep the tower building in the middle as it most reflects the CoD2 map it's loosely based on. This isn't concrete though... another tower or equally tall building can be used if it effects the balance too much.

I replaced the big town house by another tower and rotated it so that it is balanced.. Doesn't look too bad, I sent it to Mystic 10 minutes ago. Download link will be updated in a few mins too.
