Title: Shock ingeniers

Shock ingeniers should walk slowly (like english for exemple) cause of their armor. Like that they will be less deadly in combat...

there are only shock guards and sturmmovie ingeniers and because of the "cause of their armor." I think you mean sturmmovie.

the CH42 aka stalynoi nagrudnik weighed 7lbs iirc, i dont know if 7lbs would really slow you down? maybe just tire you faster

ps hes right shock engineer is a correct name for them

The weight of well designed armor is distributed over the body and not an impediment to movement. Heat/direct sunlight is a problem. The Dismounted French knights at Agincourt (or was it Crecy), were not at a disadvantage because of their armor. THe Welsh clothyard shafts with the Odds Bodkin heads tore up the mounted or dismounted knights in both battles.

Interesting. You always seem to think knights were clunky things on foot.

Sturmovie Ingenery is fine.

Have you ever worn a suit of armor? Or, say, a WWII paratrooper's pack? Both were at least 200 lbs (not sure of my metric units, lets hear it for american 'education'; and armored suits from the 1500s was notorious for its restricted range of movement. It, being that heavy, did also slow one's self down to a great extent. Because you couldn't bend at the waist with the armor on, once you fell down on your back, it was next to impossible to stand (the only way to was to roll over. In thick mud, it was literally impossible, even discounting battle fateague). That's part of the reason the French got clobbered at agincour. The French had also been pursuing the Britains for months, and compared to their prey who could scavange off the land, they had little to grab from the countryside--the British ate it all! Not to mention the English longbow was incredibly proficient at penetrating the knight's armor; think if it as a 57mm with AP rounds vs a tiger.

Tbh, whatever changes the devs are going to make, do it. I personally suggest giving them something like pio mp40s/grease guns; like, an 'ingenery_ppsh_41' or whatever the weapon is named in the RGDs.

Sturmovie have been changed significantly. There role is still assault troops with some light utility but lots of inconsistencies in their stats have been tweaked or changed.

Why not give them a shotgun which could be upgraded for the cost of 50 mun. in ppsh 41?
And i really think that they should walk a little bit slowly....

Becouse Soviets didnt use shotguns.

I do like the idea of slowly moving engies. I mean they have heavy armor on them, a blowtorch, at least 10kg of explosives, personal weapons, a mine...
They wouldnt be able to bolw up German bunkers quickly, some planning (coordinating with the main blob) would have to be involved to attack German lines. Sturmovie shouldnt be effected byheroic charge and inspired speech too.

-1 how would you bring them to the front on big maps? that would be insanely long, having those guys walk all the time... and soviet's 'don't need a transport' as some of us claim  ::)

In the next patch, they get an extra 10hp per man.

great -.- and how does it influcence the game? How many shots they will hold if whole squad will have 40 hp more? Will be they tougher than CS or not?

Ingenery have 40hp per man by default. This is equivalent to +25% health.

Ingenery get airborne armour at vet 1. Otherwise, they have infantry. This is already in place. The only thing ingenery get in the next patch is the health bonus.

Sturmovie Ingenery have elite armour in the next patch.
