I just watched the latest vid on the Modern Combat mod and Ive got to say it looks impressive. I was wondering if anyone out there had an interest in this mod as well.

The unit lines are a mixture from vCOH. If you watch the vid you should notice Brits and Germans for the PLA. I dont imagine there is a Chinese set of lines like there is for the russians on EF.

There might be... there's plenty of Chinese CoH players, but I have no idea if they have localised unit voice overs, must be crappy if they don't.
I'm looking forward to it but I don't expect it to be released for a while as it's going to probably take another year to get the environment right for the era.

Wow, that looks fucking sweet! Despite the voices (always a bitch for mods with such changes...), and the Panzer Elite veterancy (::)), it looks really cool. The tanks at the beginning sounded like those in Crysis...

Seems like of all the people this site, only you complain about PE vet, Pariah ::)
It sounds like it will be fun, but i really wish that they would offer more Tanks. They have 2 "tanks" for each faction, 3 for the Amis if you count the M1A1 w/TUSK kit).
And nice to be back from Vacation, good to see that alls good on the front.

So? Majority doesn't rule, dude... ::)

YES! I discovered this mod last week. I will be all over it when it comes out. Will always love the WW2 RTS aspects of COH but ever since Relic started pumping out Dawn of War 2 and it's expansion's (great games don't get me wrong), I've been dying for a modern warfare take based on the classic COH gameplay but revitalized by the improvements they've made to graphics/squad combat of DOW2.

In the case of the Axis it does. Their variety of vehicles is what gives them such immense power. They have designated vehicles for almost every aspect or combat situation, including doctrinal ones.

I think Pariah was talking about the fact that his views on PE vet aren't shared by many.
Looks like an interesting mod but I'd rather EF anyday. Modern combat is a little too far away from vCoH, even if they're keeping the same combat mechanics.

I agree with Dennis. Plus it looks cheesy how the tanks go up close, considering in real life they are a mile away ;D EF is for me.
