This problem has been bothering me and my friend the 2 or 3 last patches of EF mod. Seeing as there are seriously few multi-player options available in this mod, we like to play together. But recently we can't cause whenever one of us hosts a game and the other tries to join it we get same error: "Incompatible version of game. Invitation canceled."
So we cannot connect to each other while in multi-player Eastern Front
We DO have the same version... in fact I could join a few other games that were hosted. I have never had this problem with the original game or any other mod, so I honestly don't have a clue. And due to the inconvenience of the problem I have no more useful info either.

Since 1.5 I have had absolutely no trouble finding a game, even at 4AM my time.
Make sure you downloaded the hotfix? 1.5.0.1
Any skinpacks or soundmods? They need to be removed.

ye removing skinpacks worked. But my friend claims he has done the same, but he still cant see the hosted games as I now can. Anyway thanks for help

Make sure he has the hotfix patch. Tell him to try autoupdating.

Well, those errors have been always a mistery for me :(, I can only suggest this:
You cannot connect to lobby games (Not Compatible/Filtered)
This is the cause of either of three things. Just remember that you only can play with people using the same verison of Eastern Front as you. You can't play with people that are not using Eastern Front.
- Corrupt Installation
- Old Eastern Front Patch
- Certain Skin mods

Perhaps a clean install will do the trick; also, could you asking if he's using some kind of firewall? It could be blocking CoH.
