Title: How well do the light machine guns suppress? (BAR, MG42, DP28, and Bren)

How well do they suppress? How well do they damage? They're light machine guns, but I have NEVER seen those lmgs suppress without the use of abilities. They probably damage pretty well, but I almost never see a difference in kill count.

And, is there a not locked thread that gives advice on playing soviets as wehrmacht?

LMG42 and DP-28s can rarely suppress in close range.  BARs can almost always guarantee suppression when using their ability.  Other than that, I've never seen the Bren suppress.

MG42s are the only LMG that will suppress units by default (DP-28 suppression was removed in 1.5). BARs have very effective suppression when their ability is activated.

Probably not :P. They fire in such short burst :P

Probably not :P. They fire in such short burst :P

They DO Suppress only if stay awhile longer
