Title: Small, Lovely Details
Post by: cephalos on September 03, 2011, 08:16:53 PM
Have you seen how tommies shoot their rifles? And are you irritated with two different MGs on Halftrack? Write here!

This post is about thing that Relic did wrong in CoH, like animation of Lee-Enfield ( Tommies shoot as if they had M1 Garand). Small details, which are pain for some of players. C'mon, write other things that annoy you - maybe some day devs will patch this things up and do things Relic didn't.

List of details:

- Tommies Enfield animation
- WH Halftrack has 2 MG42, the main one has MG34 sound
- King Tiger cannon bug
- invisible mortar rounds

Add more!

There is an ugly bug that when a king tiger is destroyed and then recovered by a bergtiger it still has a destroyed cannon regardless of repair level.

Last patch (havn't seen them now) Naval Infantry apparently think their SVT-40's are bolt-action.

German MG Gunner on the tanks's turret and on the base building defense, never reload the MG.

the gunners of the HMGs mounted on tanks etc never reload the gun, regardless of the vehicle. and why do some light armored vehicles like puma or M8 Greyhound or the halftrack never use radio to communicate? every other "closed" vehicle does.

how is it that you can see the bullets of weapons flying as yellow lines but you can't see the rounds of G43/KVT40 or the light MG42 on top of the PEs armored car?

Satchels are thrown underhand.

Paratroopers l2throw overhand -> zomg, increased throw range ;)

Sherman tank has no viewports for the driver or hull gunner.

Tank turret MGs for all factions lack an ammunition box or drum.

HMGs are never "opened" to place the belt into the feeding mechanism; the ammunition box is merely replaced.

All officers are lefties. For the WM officer, this is false, as all left-handed men were considered inferior and would either be dissallowed to join the Wehrmacht or would be executed if found.

BAR would never be loaded in the way it is currently, not to mention the bolt is pulled back on the wrong side.

The G43 reload animation is incorrect, rounds would never be loaded from the top as if using an en-bloc clip. A BAR-like animation would be correct.

There would never be a radioman in every single solitary squad of men in the U.S. army (let alone the fact that squads are 12 men). Rather, there would be a single radioman per platoon of 36 men; 3 squads.

The hellcat is too damn big! Also lacking the "zomfg speed" of real life...

Really? I didn't knew that!

I'm unable to join in Wehrmacht, I'm an inferior man.  ;D

I know it's a balance-issue,but why can't the conscripts recrew a HMG? as if they are to stupid to aim a gun and pull the trigger.

The unarmed conscripts just stand arround even if under heavy fire. they must have some serious balls to just stand still and take it.

The squadleaders of the wehr all have a MP44 but they only fire 3 shots a time. if you hear 3 bullets, why is it only one?

if the US squads have radio operators, why doesn't any of the wehrs squads have?

why is the wehrs motorcycle the only vehicle which has its headlight on?

soldiers die even by running into the side of a moving StuG

i don't know which, but one of the vehicles of the PE has the name "siegfried" painted on it,which is spelled wrong (it says "seigfried")

you can hear the commander of the panther nagging about another crewmembers statement that you can't compare a tankfight with a boxingmatch...eeh..what kind of conversation is THAT while under fire??

The bolt and firing mechanism on the Lee Enfield is left in the open position
