Title: SU-100
Post by: trollgore on September 06, 2011, 12:10:37 AM
Does anyone miss the SU-100. i sure do, it was the best tank to take on panthers imo. it should be brought back as a reward unit maybe?

What would you replace to bring it back? I don't think it has a place on EF atm.

hmmm maybe it could be a call in unit in maybe breathrough strat? you know like a reward unit to replace su76. and to keep it balanced have a limit on how many you can call in and make it a little more expensive then the su76

Sounds like a neat idea. I really want to try it ;D since I didn't get a chance b4 1.4 came out :(

Now I'm confused ???

Do you want to add the SU-100 as it was before or do you want to just use it in EF?

There's no way a SU-100 with their former stats can be the replacement of the SU-76. It would need to be nerfed and I don't think someone wants a SU-100 which is mere shadow of what used to be.

What would be the differences between SU-100 and SU-76?

The SU-100 that everyone knows has:

* More armour than SU-76.
* More firepower than SU-76.
* Less speed/acceleration than SU-76.

So why bothering to choose the SU-76?

Hence, SU-100 is not coming back.

I see what you are saying. su100 was great and even better than su76. but to balance it, have it called only 2 at a time at a much higher manpower cost, maybe 700. su76 still will have the ap shells while su100 only has its standard cannon. imo choosing the su76 will mean unlimited call ins, ap shells, and its gun has a small traverse. su100 just has a large but effective cannon.

Let me think.

No.

Case closed. SU-100 isn't coming back. It's a nice model but we just have way too much stuff.

700? More MP cost than a IS-2 or a Panther?  :D :D :D You really think this will ballance it?

Because I have several reasons to refuse the SU-100's return, in which I do not want to write a lengthily paragraph for a commonly asked question that's been repeatedly denied.

That's actually one of the reasons why I said no. 700 mp? You're kidding no? That's 540 mp extra than what it used to cost.

LOL maybe Soviets could get SU-100 battle group. Similar to Panther battle group ;D.

PE player: "You're pissing me off! Im sending my Panthers at you. Muhahaha"
SU player: "Oh yeah? I'll send in My Su-100 Battle group at you. Biatch!!"
PE player: "HOLY SHIITTT!"

*rage quit*

SU100 could have its place in the campaign, but not in the current faction. We can“t implement every vehicle the soviets had.

Actually SU-100 was pretty cool, how cool it would be today IF balanced. But I'll join others - EF doesn't need SU-100 for now.

Actually I think EF does, but no one agrees with my balance concerns :P

Soviets have enough AT stuff, they don't need more options.

Maybe you could do something like what you did with conscripts  :D
Maybe when picking  breathrough strategy you get a option on the su-85 to upgrade it to su-100
It's just a tought that came to my mind  :)

I do somewhat miss the SU-100 I really didnt see much of a problem with it being an upgrade in the Armory, but I can see how people would think it was either unnecessary, or OP, which ever was the cause of it getting the boot.

Su-85 is strong enough. And soviets have a lot of AT weaponry - TH, Zis AT gun, Su-85, T-34/85, IS-2, ISU-152, IS-3, SU-76... EF doesn't need SU-100.

A thread created by a user with the word TROLL in the name doesn't need to continue to stay alive.

No, SU-100...that's all. No way!

I know good place for SU-100 :P. For fortress mode. Axis AI have Jagdtiger unit, so SU AI can have SU-100. It's easier choice than making this for multiplayer.

Unfortunately our current SU-100 model is not going to be featured anywhere :(.

First, it's a bugged unit. Second, its not a real SU-100 but just a modified SU-85.

So, it's not going to be added on fortress mode either.

But the fact there is a model means theres still a chance ;D ;D
Title: Re: SU-100

Nope, the only chance it has to be included would be if a new model is "crafted" for it. And even with a model ready, there's no way to add it to the soviets... as someone already mentioned, they have enough AT solutions.

One can still dream ;). Besides like TheDzierzanPL said it could always be in fortress :P

If we can get a proper model of it you can probably expect it in fortress mode
