Title: Sniper Cloak

After some recent games with killar, he had some deadly snipers. I tried many ways to counter it, including countersnipeing, bikes, mines, but I think the problem is that they cloak to fast. Once my volks were shooting at them, and they cloaked.

So what do you guys think? I think we should we should increase the time for Soviet Snipers to re-cloak.

They have the same cloak time as US Snipers.

Sniper ace cloaks twice as fast as the others, who I think all have the same cloak time. However, Wehr Snipers shoot faster so I guess they'll start decloaking for longer, faster than US/Sov Snipers.

I have been struggling against soviet snipers myself. Counter sniped three (2v2) last night. still lost to it though, so any good tips will be appreciated to counter this. It just seems if I concentrate on counter sniping my other small forces gets overrun by soviet mass infantry, or less sniping and the snipers pick my infantry apart.

Aren't the Sov snipers only 140 manpower each? I know you need to buy upgrades with munitions to make them behave like other factions' snipers, but they can still cloak in cover, right? That means they can still act as counter snipers in a stationary position. Does anyone else think the price is too low?

I don't see how a sniper costs only 140 MP ;). Sharpshooters cannot fight vs sniper because will lose (I would say more than a 95% of the fights). Besides are killed easily by infantry.

With the upgrade it's the same price as wehr sniper ( I think) Besides I think before the upgrade they only have a high critical rate? The actual "snipe" comes after the upgrade.(?) So IMO the price is fine.

It used to have high criticals and high damage(30 - IIRC), but we removed the high criticals before release.

I just played another game. Are you guys SURE it is exactly the same as Amer Sniper?

It has the same camouflage_ext values than the ami sniper. IIRC those values are to tweak the camo'ed time.
