Ok, so i have been wanting to do a Company of Heroes: Eastern Front podcast series ever since i saw Harlequin COHO and now more recently the Sound Strategy network. however, i was wondering how it should be done, so, here is a brief description of the options available;
1: This is where a single host does the overview of the battle, shows the cons and pros of the player, and just act like a commentator would.
2: Like option 1, but with two host, one watching over one side and the other doing the other.
3: Like option 1 or 2, but the games included have to have the Soviet Union.
4: This option is where you think its a dumb idea, and that i am a complete douche bag. :o
Anyway, let the votes come in.

There is no vote. A good shoutcast is where you have 1 host and maybe 1 guest that is commenting here and there when the host is asking him.
Then there is a 3. Person who does the camera work.
-
I say maybe 2 ppl but both are watching the scene at the same time :P. Not necessarily 1 person for each faction
-
Perhaps I just get influenced heavily by Sound Strategy Network (Those Tales of Heroes are addictive :P ), but I think it will be very good to have 2 host who know what happen and commenting in funny way...
So what I mean, 2 for the better... :P
-
hmm. i kinda think that if you had 2, they would either be interrupting each other, or one or both of them would not be interesting, because they didn't want to interrupt.
-
In order to solve that problem you need the 2 ppl to know each other. Or at least they're friendly. Then they will tell jokes and stuff. Otherwise its:
"That flank was good."
"Yeah. Sure."
*silence*
"Thats not good placement of the MG."
"I know, he should put it there.'
*cricket noise*
-
hmm. didnt think of that. whos gonna do this anyway?
-
I thought I would, once i got the things needed. But of course, the videos would be provided by viewers of the show, like most other commentaries are. I know the mod really good, and so i wouldn't need to spend hours trying to figure out what units he was using.
-
well then, all things considered, it sounds like a beast. good luck!
-
Thanks man, however, anyone got any tips on doing it, as i never done it before, and also, in order to see and comment on the game as it happens, what is the best program in your opinion?

NP just bring some quality EF Shoutcast in return.
-
Yeah, i will do EF replays when i get a good game, however, since most people play in locked games ( :P) I am going to do some normal CoH replays, as i have a few i want to do a replay of.I'll post them on this thread, that way, you guys can give me tips and tricks to making even better replays, plus, i am always up to a good game.
-
I thought you are unable to watch COH replays on this website ???
-
Ahh, well if you make a video with a voice over, put it on youtube, then you can put the link into this website.
-
Alright, what program is best used to get the EF replay from a link to where i can view it as a replay on CoH, to a video i can edit in windows movie maker? I am still trying to get a video, I hope to have one out before the 2nd week of November.
